    Thanks.

How does $81 for 2 VIP tix to Fab Four & 2 free drinks sound?

Also, the special for LOVE doesn't go into March. I will just keep looking to see what comes up.

    Where is that price from?

We got ours from the V Theatre Box Office with the half off coupon and I think we were around $60 for 2 VIP tickets, but without drinks.

I also think we were around $60 or $69 each for Love before they put up the prices.

The offices where you start are in a strip mall near the corner of Sahara and Maryland Parkway...

    http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Las+Vegas&state=NV&address=1100+E+Sahara&zipcode=89104

from this it looks like the 204 stops right there.

    http://www.rtcsouthernnevada.com/transit/route/204/204(1-11-09).pdf

    Also looks like the 109.

    http://www.rtcsouthernnevada.com/transit/route/109/109(1-11-09).pdf

Oh - and my husband just said that he remembered Max asking if anyone needed a lift back to the strip - so may be worth emailing and asking them if they ever collect and deliver. :)

Thanks for that. Before seeing your reply I had just called them to ask if they did hotel pickups. Sharon said that they do one pickup from the Sahara hotel which would cost $10 for both of us so that is definitely an option as we can get there easily on the monorail.

    Looks like it's back on!

Gawd knows how I'm going to fit everything in as we're now up to 9 shows/events in 14 nights and with my birthday meal at Mon Ami Gabi that makes 10!

    Guys,

we are looking for ideas for shows in vegas for May 4th-7th time....

We wanted to see mamamia....but its now closed..

any other ideas, we have seen phantom before....

We like most broadway shows, i wouldn't mind trying a cirque show, particularly the one at NYNY (think you know the reasons why!) but the missus isn't keen...

    any ideas or suggestion people?

think we will do the mystrey tour one night at least...

Missus doesn't want to see elton john or bette midler..

i have seen a fair few shows in Vegas so my 2 cents are as follows.

The Best show i have seen in Vegas ( or anywhere else) is Hands down Le Reve @ The Wynn . i bet people are bored of me always suggesting it , but it is truly spectacular . don't be put off by the abstract nature of the show ( it is very hard to define in a few sentances) , all i will say is it is a class act from start to finish with breath taking stunts and Chorography

.just don't do what we did and go and see the Sirens of TI afterwards, it put into very sharp focus how good Le Reve was , and how truly awful that piece of cheesy crap on the pirate ship is.

If you have seen Phantom then you know what to expect . all i would say is The Venetain Theater is Very much up to the job with excellent acoustics.

Blue Man Group @ The Venetian is well worth seeing as is Jubliee @Ballys . if you want pretty girls and a big budget show then Jubliee is a much better bet than Zumanity @ NYNY i think. i have not seen Zumanity but i do not think it is a topless show and all people i saw coming out from it had a bemused look on their faces.

. Jubliee has a very thin story but great sets and numbers . put it this way , my wife loved it for the Traditional Vegas showgirl show , andt thats saying something for a show that also has about 100 topless hotties on stage at one time . even the intermission acts are worth seeing in it . if you haven't already considered purchasing it , The LVA members reward booklet gives you a 2 for 1 voucher worth $88 for Jubliee. good value indeed as the whole membership only costs $37 .i have never seen this show at the half price outlets either

if you want magic i'd avoid David Copperfield.

if you want funny both The Amazing Jonathon and Defending the Caveman are good shows. Rita Rudner is also worth seeing for half price.

Dirty Hypnosis is also great fun but be prepared for a kind of back room club type feel at The Harmon Theatre .

i did not think Mystere was that great (a big guy dressed up as baby with Giant bottle and riding a Golf buggy does not make good entertainment in my book) . don't know if it is still on but i'd skip The Producers too . avoid Spamalot unless you are a very big monty python fan

don't forget afternoon shows. Mac King is brilliant and almost free to see. Popovich animal Theatre is worth seeing too . was not bowled over by ronn lucas. If Dirk Arthur is still on @ The Tropicanna it makes for a good cheap afternoon show too.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I have to say that I have not seen Jubilee so I can not really say whether its better or worse than Zumanity, its one of the shows we plan to see before we go every time and never make. I have however seen Zumainty and it is awsome it is not a true Vegas topless showgirl show but more of a CDS show where half the cast are topless and has a very big risque sex theme. The show does include both gay guys and lesbians kissing and if you have any sort of reservations about this it is not the show for you. Both myself and the wife loved it we were at the side two rows back and I think that somthing was lost by not being central to the stage but never the less it was amazing.

I think that many of the bemused faces may be Americans who think that they are going to see a CDS show. I have read reviews where some of these people claim to have seen "a huge discusting orgy" and "men having sex with other men" etc I am pretty sure that I would have noticed this and if it did happen it certainly slipped by me and the wife :) Its risue and the whole show is based around sensual sex if this offends then as I said its not for you but it is a clever Cirque show along with full orchestra live vocalists.
Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time

Funny thing is I thought the intermission acts were the best part of the show. :) I also agree that for an old-school Vegas extravaganza it was a great show to see and discounts are pretty easy to find.

I kind of know how you feel - when we took the in-laws we had a lot to fit into 8 nights, and with one night at the GC it made it tougher. We actually did an itinerary in Excel so we could keep track of what was when (especially for things like shows we'd booked and dark days of shows we wanted to book when we got there)...it did get to be a bit of a puzzle trying to slot things in where they made sense. In the end, I think the only thing we did not do that was on the original agenda was Lance Burton...so we didn't do too bady. My only suggestion is to leave as much blank space on the agenda as you can. I can upload our planner we used if you'd like to have a look and see if the format might help? It's one of those things that worked for us, but may not work for anyone else but maybe it would.

Oh dear I can resist anything except temptation it seems
Easter weekend-flying Good Friday -for 4 nights. Flight £330 from Heathrow (including tax) and at the moment 4 nights at the Flamingo is $240 plus taxes (weekends $75 & midweek $45 min stay 4 nights) so £840 for the two of us or £420 each. Hotel is (of course)-refundable but I think I'll be pushed to better that price.
    Well chuffed :)

Only thing I can't seem to see is on the AA booking pages where it gives the fare class...and I understand that depending on what fare class you're travelling, you may earn more or less than 1 point per mile...just trying to get a feel for it and just cannot see the fare class shown on the booking screens.

There's the Gold challenge as well Ferf but booking on aa.com now even the cheaper fares earn 1 point per mile (1.5 for silly money economy & above)
Couple of other points challenges are a one time thing-you can't challenge every year but if you don't reach the re-qualification level (50000 miles in the year Jan-Dec) they soft land you down to gold for the following year. For you ONE of you challenging one year -and the other challenging another year might work out better.
Like Stoneman I used my Plat status to match with another airline too once the year was nearly up -works very nicely but again it's a one time deal so needs to be planned carefully (for me the lure was LGW instead of Heathrow -can't always be avoided-but it's nice to sometimes have the choice)
