can't remember if this has been posted, but netflights.com are showing Virgin flights from £321 (indirect) and from £338 (direct from london)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

That's really good info for me as we're Bally's fans who keep thinking we should try Paris as it's generally regarded as being a nicer property (we spend plenty of time in the casino and restaurants already)...but have so far been afraid to in case we find the room to be small after what we're used to at Bally's and then spend the whole time wishing we'd just stuck with our home away from home. :)

You know that we love Ballys too and we'll pretty much always choose Bally's unless Paris was signifacntly cheaper. Even at the same price, I'd still choose Ballys.

Stoneman - I see where you're coming from and we don't generally do posh food and don't actually eat out much at home, but on holiday, we do have one fancy meal as a treat and it's the only time we do it. It's just one of our things. It is a lot of money though, so I can see why people might spend it elsewhere.

You'll have to try to teach us your airline tricks as it sounds like you do make the best of what's out there if you know how to get it.

Please add me to the list ! Need some advice on better flights for reasonable money.

Without looking to see if there's anything better - the Jersey boys offer is still on for the whole of next wee $119 Sunday-thurs, 149 Fri/Sat.

Thanks for a great read (and love bonus of photos throughout). You'll have to try to teach us your airline tricks as it sounds like you do make the best of what's out there if you know how to get it.
Well, if you are traveling with AA at anytime, visit the AAdvantage forum on flyertalk and you will see how to do a "platinum challenge" you sign up for it and have to complete 10,000 miles in 1 year, thats just 1 return to Vegas. It might seem easy to us but remember 99% of AA's customer base is domestic travelers. After you have completed the challenge they make you a Platinum elite member, for that you get free Admirals Club access, when you book your flights the seat configuration opens up for you to pick the best seats for free, you get a number of free 500 mile upgrade vouchers, priority boarding, first call on any upgrades, all of this is free and all it takes is 1 return flight.
We flew with NWA and phoned them up to ask if they would "status match" us with AA and VS(we are silver with them), thinking that we must be heavy travelers and trying to capture our business they agreed. So we now get loads of free stuff with them as well.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Ok, wait...'last chance to see Elton John's "Red Piano"'?

Figures...the shows you always put off seeing and always assume will be there...

    This from Caesar's website:

"Don't miss your last chance to see this cultural and musical icon as he closes out his spectacular five-year run at Caesars Palace. Only three engagements remain at The Colosseum..."

    I didn't realise.

    I am annoyed. :)
From what I read in the Caesars magazine he is on till April, so you might just get to see him. try buying tickets to see how far they go. We saw him there and he was great. We actually had already bought tickets to see him later in the year in Nottingham, but when we had the choice of Nottingham or Vegas, well no contest. We made a profit on the tickets we had on Ebay as well.

    Guys,

we are looking for ideas for shows in vegas for May 4th-7th time....

We wanted to see mamamia....but its now closed..

any other ideas, we have seen phantom before....

We like most broadway shows, i wouldn't mind trying a cirque show, particularly the one at NYNY (think you know the reasons why!) but the missus isn't keen...

    any ideas or suggestion people?

think we will do the mystrey tour one night at least...

Missus doesn't want to see elton john or bette midler..
