Believe it or not, from Expedia. Although, you try typing in 19-26 April just for the room and have a look at the price !!! Must be a mistake.

You know about the big convention from the 20th to 23rd? If not, maybe consider planning around it as 120,000 attendees will mean that things will be pretty crowded...just need to plan ahead a bit.

Was not really aware, so thanks for the heads-up. Will make sure we sort out our restaurant reservations in advance. Glad we got it sorted now, just in case the hotel prices go crazy. Also managed to bag some OK seats on the flights, 2 seats on our own, so no disturbing anyone else.

    Thanks again !
  • wow, spent ages reading this and am glad I did! Such fantastic info!!! Thanks!

    My questions.........

When you see a table minimum of say $10-is that even $10 for a roulette chip? They were 50p when I last went lol!!!

Can you do Vegas for $500 a day? To eat, drink, shop a little and to have a little flutter????

Ride the Deuce is my advice "$2 one way, $5 all day" as the little announcement says as this double decker bus pulls into the stop. It really is an all day pass also. Whereas our travel passes run out at midnight in the UK, in Vegas you can use them until the same time the next day - so if you time it right, it is ideal. Especially if you want to go to Fremont Centre.

Sorry, but it's gone up as from 10th January. It is now $3 one way and $7 all day. Still way cheaper than the buses up here in the back of beyond.

I think I can safely say that we do it for less than that per week. We stayed for 30 days last November/December and our total for flights, hotels, car hire and shows was $2540.10 (Only six shows, but you get the idea.)

30 days????? You are very lucky! Thanks for the info! We would only do one show, titbit shopping and mainly nice food!

Normally at a roulette table the minimum will be for 'inside' or 'outside' bets...some tables have $1 chips (a very few have $0.50...even fewer have $0.25)...but you have to bet at least $10 on the 'inside' - so the numbers...or the 'outside' - the bets along the outside of the numbers.

In a lot of cases the sign for the table minimum will also give details of the minimum chip denomination.

You can do Vegas on a whole lot less (as pebbles has said)...we spend a good portion of our trip gambling and our daily budget is only a little bit more than that (but we don't usually do posh restaurants as it's not our thing)...without spending 8+ hours a day on the slots our budget would be dramatically less. :)
