Hey, cheers for that. Few problems though:

    1. No LCI Casino nearby
    2. Can't go earlier than 19th April due to work
    3. Don't really want to go later, can't get direct flights (BMI stopped them) and it's a B/Day & anniversary trip

Also, we've only paid £400 on top of the 'flight only' price for this 'Red Room'. When I've checked our dates, most places are quoting about $1800 !!! Got 5% cashback through my CC too, so total price was £657 each, which I can live with.

Thanks again for your help anyway.
that was only random dates I put in to give you an idea, try your own. Anyway, £400 is a good deal, is that 7 nights?
Never heard of a red room in Paris, I thought they only had "luxury" or "premium" apart from the suites.
Some on here have found it worth traveling to the nearest LCI casino before the flight to get the card, if you are traveling from Manchester and staying over night there is one here.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Yeah, I've seen that link. They do look pretty good and it says they are on the 'highest floors', so hopefully a decent view. Done a bit more research and I think they may have only become available in January, so they should still be spotless in April.

I'll still try the old $20 trick though, success rate of about 75% at Paris, see what happens.

Yes, that's for 7 nights, which seemed pretty good. Also, who else is going end of April ? I seem to have read quite a few posts mentioning April trips.

That is a really good rate, where was it from?
Those rooms look rather splendid, might try and snag one of those myself. We are there 21st. to 29th April, but then again the end of May:eek:

Why would you need to try the $20 trick when you have already got one of the best rooms in the hotel, unless to guarentee a strip view. You won't get a suite for that for sure

We're there from the 15th to 23rd...can't wait!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

The Red Room Premier rooms have "sweeping views of the pool or Eiffel Tower" so that might be an upgrade option. They do look pretty nice and £400 for 7 nights seems a pretty good deal assuming that's not per person. :)

Believe it or not, from Expedia. Although, you try typing in 19-26 April just for the room and have a look at the price !!! Must be a mistake.

Yes, Red Room Premier is what I'll be after if possible. Total price was £1383 for 7 nights, 2 people, BMI direct from MAN. Then 5% CC discount, so £657 each.

Like I said, we really wanted to go this week for a number of reasons, so well pleased.

All this talk about going to Vegas is getting me jealous, so..........................
if you can't beat them, join them!!!

Just got flight with Virgin flying out March 20th and back March 25th for 320.00 (+ 2,000) miles. :j :j :j

Woohoooo, time to start planning, already looking at room rates!!

Anybody been to Vegas by themselves before?? Any tips?? I was there last year for my 40th with my brother. Been to the states loads of times by myself before so not worried about that, just looking for things to do.

    I can't believe i'm going back!!

Ride the Deuce is my advice "$2 one way, $5 all day" as the little announcement says as this double decker bus pulls into the stop. It really is an all day pass also. Whereas our travel passes run out at midnight in the UK, in Vegas you can use them until the same time the next day - so if you time it right, it is ideal. Especially if you want to go to Freemont Centre.
I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.
