The Bellagio FountainsWas it decided no new poll?
I had an idea for a new one, based on some of the conversations that have been flagging around lately - and to be honest, i'm genuinely wondering what peoples answers will be:
What is the MAIN reason you go to Vegas (or want to)
* gambling?
* shows / entertainment?
* shopping?
* good food?
* midget strippers?
* partying?
* not been yet but want to see what the fuss is about
* suggestions welcome!
sorry if a poll is deemed a bad idea- any ideas for more responses?

is it worth getting Restaurant.com vouchers,im so confused:eek:
I'm a big fan of them, and we've found some great restaurants using them. For a first timer though, they may not be as good of a bet...IF there's a restaurant that participates which you are sure you will go to (many are off strip - some easily accessible, others not so much unless you have a car), you're happy that you'll meet the minimum and any other T&Cs, then sure, it would be worth it...but even after 13 trips to Vegas, our plans tend to go out the window a lot of the time. We always end up with restaurant.com vouchers we don't use - sure, we use more than we don't use, and overall we get a lot of value out of them...but especially for a first timer, I can almost guarantee that you'll come back not having done 1/2 of what you planned to as other things cropped up along the way that took your fancy at the time...so I wouldn't go too mad in buying too many of them for a first trip.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I'm not sure if I could answer that, actually...because it's really a combination of several of those things for us (mostly the midget strippers, of course) - if you took one of those things away we might not be so keen to go...I suppose I could narrow it down by thinking of it in terms of what one thing, if taken away, would be most likely to keep us from going back...I suppose that would be the 'main' reason for going...but it's really a combination for us.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio Fountainsi'd say 'variety of stuff' too to be honest ferf (hence i didn't put it as an option
)
just wondered what it would be if push came to shove tbh0 -
The Bellagio Fountainsbump, sorry;)The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Saw an advert yesterday (can't remember where), apparently Netflights have a sale on. Sure I saw a price of 'from' £291, LON - LAS. Don't know any more details, sorry, so maybe worth a look.0

At first glance I thought "what a great idea". But now I agree with ferf1223. It is impossible to narrow it down to 1 thing. There are so many things that make me want to go back! Shows/ Shopping / value-for-money hotels (cheap for what you get and what is at your disposal in LV) / the Grand Canyon close by. If one of these things were removed it would not be such a good package for me. It is really the sum of all things, which makes it so hard to explain to my friends why I was so eager to go to Las Vegas and now I am eager to go back.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsOne of the reasons I love Vegas so much is the feeling that I am "Home" whenever we arrive. I don't think that I could pin it down to a single reason if my life depended on it.
I could live there very easily.0 -

I've only been there twice but when I arrived in March for my second trip I felt exactly the same, when the plane turned and I saw the strip I felt I was home, a feeling like i've never felt before. When it was time to leave I could have almost cried.
Still hoping to get back between Christmas and New Year, just have to wait and see how the money goes.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsStew, I know what you mean. We have just spent 2 days short of six weeks in Vegas and still hated to leave. We have an apartment in Benidorm and would get one in Vegas in a heartbeat if it wasn't such a long flight. !!!! happens, we can be back from Beni in a few hours. Same thing can't be said for Vegas. (Sadly)0
