if you've got a car on the way to the hoover dam there's the The Galleria at Sunset mall, the address is 1300 West Sunset Road, Henderson, its alot better the the Boulevard Mall

Agreed...it's massive and lovely...and there's a Best Buy, a huge WalMart and an In-n-Out Burger right there...plus Sunset Station hotel/casino...we always stop each trip. Only downside about the mall is it's size - hard for me to get hubby in there. :) Well, it's not an outlet mall either - so the prices won't necessarily be as cheap, but will be current season stock at least.

Anyone ever used the $20 trick, having booked through a travel company. We are travelling to SF, Hawaii and LV with United Vacations. Arriving in vegas labor day weekend, what do you think our chances are?

I think the fact that you're going to be there on a holiday weekend will have more impact on your chances of success than booking through a 3rd party...try it though - may as well, haven't got anything to lose.

Great pictures - your bride is beautiful!

And I see she discovered what we did with those spa tubs at Luxor...so many bubbles from so little shower gel. :)

Brittany Spears has just announced two new dates at Mandalay Bay, 26 & 27 September. We are seeing the Lion King there on the 26th so the place will be mobbed.

I have no interest in seeing her whatsoever and I certainly wouldn't spend top dollar to hear her lip synch.

I would definately recommend the outlet at the North of the strip.

GF and I went to the one at the North, the one at the South and the one in Primm on our last trip and much preferred the one in the North, much better shops.

Regarding clubs... some of them have free passes which you can get in magazines and on leaflets etc for free entry. Some times if you go to the casino associated with the club then there are people walking around giving out free / reduced admission passes. There are also people on the street "giving away" passes for free entry and all the rest at clubs... they hand over all the passes and then ask you for a tip but I suppose if you could get away with giving them $10 and IF the passes work then its worth it.

Oh and the other thing, if you are staying in MGM you can sometimes find room deals that include free passes to Studio 54 (and the other club in there which I forget the name of) so I would assume that other casinos do similar. Or just ask when you check in if they have any passes and drop them a tip if they do, worth a try.

Saying all that I can't think why anyone would want to go into a nightclub in Vegas.... maybe i'm just getting old but the drinks are crazy expensive and there is far too much else to do than be stuck in a hot and sweaty pretentious nightclub. The only one I would go back to is the Voodoo Lounge in Rio.... its on the 50th Floor, is outside and has amazing views over Vegas. You should easily get free entry to this - someone else might be kind enough to post the link for free tickets..

Thanks for your help mate. I think you are getting old though.. Vegas is meant to have one of the best clubbing scenes in America! Meant to be booming.. bring it on! :D

That is certainly true. If you saw the queues to get into some places especially at the weekend then you may think twice about going.

LAX the other saturday night was heaving and the queue wasnt moving that fast either.

I mentioned before the lads who got done for $100 thinking they were getting VIP entry to LAX, anyway they paid over $600 for a table and bottle of vodka. Not 1 of them said they would do it again, despite having a good time they said it was far too expensive, and far too busy in there to really enjoy to the fullest.

thanks ferf, yea, it doesnt take much to make the bubbles grow in those tubs!!!
I think the pic in question is the only one where she hasnt got a drink in her hand, although she probably has too in this one its just that the bubbles are hiding it!

To pick up choice beaver! were not all stupid enough to take our WAGS to vegas! :D

nah, my perfect night would be a good dinner about 8, casino then till about 12, ghost bar, voodoo or the like for a couple, then onto a club!

you can then either go to bed or end up back in the casino untill the buffet opens!
