The Bellagio Fountainswould we be mad going at this time?
however check the first post to see average temperatures
does it have to be half term? September could be a good option, think it's still quite warm and costs will be a bit better i would thinkAcitivity wise I dont really mind what we do as long as its fun lol. Also want to stay in a reasonably good hotel, would love a posh room but dont think im that rich lol!- even if its just a treat for the last 3 nights stay of your trip (for example)

The Bellagio FountainsStoneman - did you stay at the Paris and if so can you comment on the quality?
txThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
what kind of a room could i get? would love one with a view, from people opinions what hotels should i be looking at, if i want a nice one? lol thanks for comment i am mad yeah hence my name, it has to be in summer holidays really as i am at uni training to be primary teacher, if i dont go back till october then sept would be fine but at the moment i dont know when i go back which is why i was thinking of june - august?! would it be busy then? x:jHas saved so much money since joining this forum, thanks to all you kind people out there :j0

The Bellagio FountainsFor June it is getting up to 40+ degrees...
For example, i put a random June 2008 date into here:
http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KLAS/2008/6/23/DailyHistory.html?req_city=NA&req_state=NA&req_statename=NA
have a toy with the promotions on this website... i've set the month to June for you, but you can change it. Bear in mind these are deemed to be 'early offers' (and 99% of the time fully refundable) and that better offers for June will come out Feb / March time... have a look at rooms, prices, whats included in the offer, then come here and ask people what they think of the hoteli'll start you off by saying for a first time trip, perhaps avoid Circus Circus, Stratosphere + Excalibur. Look at the 'strip' map on the first page of this thread and try to pick something 'central' ish, or split your trip into two - one hotel near the south (ie. circa Luxor) and one nearer north (ie. circa Mirage)

thank you, would it be possible to walk the length of the strip or is it just too long?:jHas saved so much money since joining this forum, thanks to all you kind people out there :j0

also if you stay at one hotel are you able to go and eat in other hotels and use their casinos? thanks x:jHas saved so much money since joining this forum, thanks to all you kind people out there :j0

The Bellagio Fountainsdefinitely recommend you do a bit of reading up
do a search for a post from pebblesmax in this thread which details the distance between casinos but remember, in June you will have to walk THROUGH the casinos (as it is too hot to walk outside typically!) so this adds a fair bit to the journey - most people only really go the casino's between Mandalay Bay and Wynn - walking further 'north' is deemed as being a bit 'dodgy', and the only thing walkable 'south' of Mandalay Bay is the Vegas 'sign' but even then i would never try to walk that in June!!!
we always split our trip to save our legs... for example , per stay we've done:
Luxor / TI (Treasure Island)
NYNY / Bellagio
Mandalay Bay / Paris
as regards eating at, and using other hotels casinos, yes, no problems - they all want you in their casino, and putting money through their machines (hence the free drinks!!!!) so they are all competing to get you through their doors, hence having lions / tigers, chocolate fountains / times square(NYNY) / fountain shows / rollercoasters / attractions etc etc
some (or most?) attractions (ie. Shark Reef / rollercoasters) require payment but everyone has to pay - it doesn't matter which hotel you came from
the only thing you can't do (typically - i think there is one hotel that is an exception) is use other hotels pools, but that is to be expected...0 -

The Bellagio Fountainswhat kind of a room could i get? would love one with a view, from people opinions what hotels should i be looking at, if i want a nice one?
in addition to the link that nvh posted (which I think are all MGM properties), you can look here to get a general idea of the 'hot deal' rates that Harrahs offers...there will likely be better deals for June later in the year as nvh said...but this gives you an idea.
http://www.harrahs.com/hot-deals/index.html
Choose Las Vegas
Then choose a start date to view a month worth of rates.
(sorry, if I try to paste the link directly it reverts to standard rates, not hot deals rates)
Remember that these rates are per room per night (assuming 2 people per room, many will charge more for 3 or 4), not per person per night...there is tax on top of these rates at 9%.
Summer is normally a relatively inexpensive time in Vegas as a lot of Americans avoid it due to the heat.
Edited to add - what hotels really does depend on what sort of budget you have...you may also want to factor in a nice pool and things like that...may be a good idea to price up flights and then think what sort of budget you have left for hotels and go from there?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
