Valley of Fire (NOT Red Rock...I always do that!).

This is one of the better night shots we've managed and certainly the best we could do at the top of the Strat without a tripod...obviously not a new photo as you can clearly see the Stardust!

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I think you may want to wait for Luci to pop in, she travelled from Scotland just a few weeks ago, i'm sure she'll be able to give you some tips.

First time in Vegas and we all loved it:

flying premium economy with Virgin is the biz....
staying at the Bellagio has to be a lakeview room. A press of the button opens those curtains to provide a cracking view of the fountains and strip. Great hotel.
Jersey Boys - Best show we have seen by far.

I had to google !!!!!! that burger was stoneman haha - superb...

found this that seems to sum it up:

"That's four beef patties, four pieces of cheese, onions, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and special sauce. "
    3351784280_af7a16eedb.jpg?v=0

i can almost taste the grease :D

i really should try some more of these burger gaf's - not done many but the chilli-con-carne burger i had at 'Johnny Rockets' was superb!

great pics btw Stew :D cheers - keep 'em coming :p brightens the place up! lol

edit: does anyone think that his finger 'underneath' the burger looks bloody massive!?... seems to make what should be a huge burger, look not that huge at all!

edit2: just realised! apologies if that pic is of you stoneman lol - i didn't mean it about your finger :D
LOL, no thats not me, he is far too handsome, ..... and slim.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I'm afraid that cheap and Scotland don't go together as far as getting to Vegas.

I agree with Claire's suggestions and would add https://www.opopdo.co.uk It's cheaper to fly out Tues/Wed/Thurs as there is a weekend supplement added for Fri & Sat. Also try US Airways site as I think they go GLA to Philly. There is also Thomas Cook direct on a Wed in July if they are still doing it as they also go from MAN.

Loved that pic of the chocolate fountain at the Bellagio. Whereabouts is it? I think it deserves a visit.
