We're ready to book our holiday. Can anyone help us find cheap flights for 01.09.09 to return on 15.08.09?

I think you need a time machine for those dates...;)

The dates are actually pretty flexible, as long as we're out there for the 6th (OHs bday)

Expedia has flights on those dates with US Airways for £346

Not sure what they are like though as I always fly with Virgin

I am sure someone will be along here soon that knows more about the non-direct flights to Vegas

I am flying out on 1st Sept from Gatwick...

Having looked at all sorts of options we are still planning to stay at the Stratosphere for a week to keep the cost down seeing as we've got a good deal, then prossibly a week at the Luxor as it looks like it will only cost £50 extra and maybe a night at MGM for a treat.
We are going to hire a car for a couple of days while we are there, does anyone have any advice on whether it is better to book before we go or to sort something when we get there?
We are also thinking of going to the Grand Canyon and spending a night or two, can anyone recommend somewhere to stay?
    Many thanks

Hertz have got a sale on at the moment -- booked yesterday for 4 days in vegas in intermediate car for £82 and cheapest was around £76. this is for october. We are driving to the Williams and doing the grand canyon railway package for 3 nights (one in grand canyon) as well as train travel on old mining railway and meals on two of the days for a total of around $950 for two people. hope this helps.

have a look here for deals I think that there are some that last to the end of the year, I strongly advise against the Stratosphere the hotel is OK now but the location is terrible it will be less than probably $10 a night more to stay at Excalibur whihc is a much better choice.

if you want direct flights you have 2 choices Virgin from Gatwick or My Travel (complete with rubbish baggage allowance ) from Manchester. Thats it now !!

£346 with US Airways sounds pretty good to me . :money:
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I also would strongly advise against the Stratosphere, The location is V poor, and the hotel is dated. OK for a visit, but I think you'd find you spend more getting to and from the hotel that you might think. You'd be better off staying off strip at gold Coast or Orleans than there. JMHO.
