Just a FYI, I always print screen when I make a reservation. It usually has all the info you need. If you don't get much (enough) info in the reservation confirmation, or do not receive the confirmation email at all, you have evidence of the reservation.

I may well be paranoid, but it has helped me more than once. I do this every time because on our first Vegas trip (2000, Key Largo, no longer open) they had no record of our reservation and it took ages to sort out. It's the last thing you want when arriving after a long flight.

I had saved the confirmation page to my desktop like i always do, but when i opened it later it just took me back to the blank reservation page:confused: I'm going to email them to confirm its booked under the promotion for peace of mind anyway. Better to be safe than sorry:D

I always print the confirmation at the time. But then, I may be a bit obsessive. ;-)

The girl said they had tried to call us but supposedly had the wrong number! (we think she didn't take the 0 off the area code after +44, even though my other half had specifically said to earlier).

It wouldn't have mattered if she'd included the '0' at the beginning of your phone number, however she may not have been used to dialling an international number. Many Americans do not recognise +44, so if you are going to give someone your number for contact details, lose the '0' and ADD '01144' at the beginning.

In the US, you have to dial '011' before any international number for it to work correctly. Therefore if your mobile was 07979 123456, you would give the number 011 44 7979 123456

Dowsy thanks for sharing your trip report, I loved reading it :T I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at Wynn, i loved it there but i agree that the reception area can be organised chaos at times:rolleyes: I'm off to see now if i can find a menu for Botero, if you don't mind me asking how much did dinner set you back here?

Dinner at Botero was just under $200 but like we said if you can miss out on having a bottle of wine ( which i think the cheapest was about $44 ) then you can probably have a total of about $100-$150. The 40oz Porter house steak for two was $96 then the sides were $11 each. The staff there were very friendly and helpful and we would both recommend eating there.

When we checked into the MGM we had a confirmation letter and at the top it told us what the room rates that we booked, it also told us what extras we had ( $35 resort credit for restaurant or entertainment use, 2 free VIP passes to Tabu or studio 54,%15 off spa )

We wasn't sure how we got them but we used the $35 for the breakfast buffet, what they do is charge the total to your room then on checkout credit the $35 back to you.

Also in MGM they put on a $200 charge ( which you do get back ) unless you break, damage anything in your room.

For people using a Fairfx card to pay for the hotels, be aware that it takes a while for the money to come off of the card, if you look at your statement online ( you cannot check balance at a ATM ) it will come up as blocked payments which can be a bit confusing if you are trying to work out your remaining money.

For taking money out from your Fairfx card try and use an ATM which is not inside a hotel as the charges can work out a bit more expensive. This is where and what i took out and the charges:

ATM near M and M world on strip: $300+$3.50 charge+ $2 Fairfx charge
Wynn Hotel ATM £300+$4.99+$2 Fairfx charge
Fashion Show Mall ATM $300+$2.95+$2 Fair fx charge

We're ready to book our holiday. Can anyone help us find cheap flights for 01.09.09 to return on 15.08.09?
I've been looking but im getting confused with all the stop offs etc, dont wanna end up losing a day out of our holiday.
I've heard everyone saying they booked cheaply with Continental but flights are coming up as £671 each.

Sorry to be a pain, but im completely lost! xx
