OMG. I'm a total Starbuck's !!!!! and I didn't notice this! Must be the heat getting to me.

Yes, sad that we're nearly at the end of our holiday but now happy that it's almost time to see the cats again. :)

My cats are what stops me from spending three months in Vegas.

Price-wise the cheapest hotel centre strip is the Imperial Palace, but it's a very basic hotel and there are far better to be had. Then it might be Bill's Gambling Hall.

Check out Page 1 of Fat Wallet to see what the rates are for the next month or two to give you an idea and check the price of your flight only.

Often the slightly higher priced hotels have bigger discounts so end up a little cheaper. I got the Flamingo this month (with a free upgrade confirmed in advance for a Go room) for less than I could get Bill's for -even though I kept checking.

Plenty suggestions on Page 1 of this topic. You need to do some homework.

We've bought digital cameras and portable media players before...there's a potential that there would be an issue with the warranty I think but some may be worldwide - worth checking anyway. Of course you should declare items over a particular value. With the exchange rate being less than ideal may be worth comparing prices of similar models to see if it's worth buying in the US.

Thanks - got all my dollars a while back at 1.95 to £ so was thinking I might save by buying in US. Apart from the powersupply I dont think there will be a great issue but wil take advice

One problem with laptops is the different configuration of the keypad, the one I bought doesn't have a £ sign for example!! Just a little heads up for you.

Gordylad, I looked into getting an apple laptop last year when the exchange rate was so good as they have an international warranty on all laptops. But it worked out roughly the same price as home so I ended up getting it here in the end.

You can price up flight and hotels together using expedia.co.uk for example, to give you an overall idea of price. Then price the flights and hotel separately as it will usually work out cheaper doing it this way. For flights try:
    https://www.kayak.co.uk
    https://www.netflights.co.uk
    https://www.expedia.co.uk
    For hotels try https://www.smartervegas.com.

Once you've priced up your options and narrowed down your dates I'm sure posters would be happy to advise you or see if your price could be beaten:D

She advised us not to go to the drive-in I had found details of on the Internet as it was in a bad area, she told us 16 people were shot (killed) there in January and the week before a man had been shot there and just propped up on someone's garden fence! I was glad I'd checked!

what drive in and how far into downtown were you going !! .

It's true Vegas has no go area's but they are long way from the strip and there is little there to tempt you there in 1st place .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
