The Bellagio FountainsStoneman,
Don't want to be seen to be disagreeing with you (I totally understand what you are saying about the resort fee) but Luxury Suites International prices include the resort fee, at least they did when I used the deal and stayed there last month.
It may have changed since then of course.
Stew
LSI add the resort fee. It was $15 when I booked, but is up to $20 the same as MGM. I just factor it in to the price of the room and as I'm still happy with $104/night it's not an issue.
However a lot of hotel are going the resort fee route such as PH. Once Harrah's start charging it then I think you will be struggling stoneman.0 -

the last 2 times i've been i've waited 2 hours as they've had no cars.
on the plus side i got upgraded to a "pimp-mobile" (Chyrsler 300) when paying for a 2 door economy0 -

I made an itinerary last trip but we didn't stick to it
I only book shows ahead that I'm not likely to get cheaper there and the likes of Tom Jones that we booked as soon as the tickets became available so we got good seats.
I have a planner on 2 sheets of A4 which even has suggestions of where we might eat. I find if I don't do that then I might forget about somewhere I really want to go. We only have Kokomo's and Casa di Amore booked.
I found that on our 4th visit, which was for 10 nights, we just drifted and I was ready for home after 8-9 days. I feel I make the most of it with a plan.0 -

The Bellagio FountainsI agree, it's just smoke and mirrors to make the rate look better.
I see PH are charging $4.99. At least they are doing it up front now rather than their usual trick of adding on $4.99 and saying you had used a bottle of water in the room. Twice they tried that with me and one of the times I had checked out on the TV and it was added afterwards. I called them up as it wasn't the amount, it was the principle.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsYou are in for a shock then. The Thrifty desk has to be the longest wait I ever had. Used them 4 times now and they are slow, even if there is only a couple in front of you look at waiting 1/2 hour minimum
Sounds like a similar wait to dollar then for us:(. We've always found dollar at McCarran to be super slow, but maybe its just been bad luck on our part. Ah well, thats just means OH has to go queue while i trot off to get a cold drink and freshen up:D:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Hi all, I've been lurking on this new thread have picked up some good tips from you all on places to eat, how to save money etc whilst in Vegas.
We will be there in mid June for 3 days as part of our holiday. Have sorted a trip out to the Hoover Dam and we are going to The Grand Canyon later.
What would you all suggest as things not to miss as we will only have 2 full days free time I reckon. So much to see and so little time, dont want to waste a minute wandering around like a lost soul
We are staying at the Imperial Palace, not a favourite on here I see but we had no choice in it as organised tour. Sure it will be ok as in a good location by the looks of it.
There is an option on our tour for dinner and show (Rat Pack) and then on to Fremont light show, this is $88 each though - I think we can do similar ourselves much cheaper (well I hope so!)
Thanks all0 -
well the dinner plus show package is $69 pp -assuming you can get half price (and are prepared to use up some of your already limited time queuing earlier in the day) add $7 pp for the deuce return (24 hour so you'll use it on the strip too) or $20 each way for taxi.
Personally I'm happy to get the deuce there but get sick of waiting for it late at night and taxi back
Honestly though for a first visit I'd suggest forgetting about Freemont Street -there's more than enough -and better to see and do on the StripI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0
