did someone say they might try and charge you extra for more insurance when we get there? Is it worth getting it or what does it apply to? USrentacar below looks like it includes everything i need?- Unlimited Mileage.
- Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) which is a combination insurance of both Collision damageWaiver (CDW) and Theft Waiver. As long as you adhere to the rental policy of the supplier you will not be held responsible for the cost of replacement or repair to your hire vehicle.
- Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP) up to $1m Liability Cover. Offers an Uninsured/Underinsured/Hit-and-Run Motorist Protection (UMP) that provides the renter and family members traveling together in the rented vehicle with up to $1,000,000 of non-stacked coverage for bodily injury sustained while driving the rental car, and caused by another driver who has no insurance, minimal insurance, or is a hit-and-run driver.
- Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) up to $1m Liability Cover. All drivers included on the rental agreement will not be held liable for third party claims for bodily injury or property damage resulting from an accident.
- All Taxes and Airport Fees. (except the new 2.5% California Tourism Tax which is payable locally for all Californian pick up's.)
In addition to the items above U.S. Rent A Car has negotiated the following features with individual suppliers all of which are included within the Fully Inclusive rate.
Dollar Fully Inclusive includes 1 additional driver.
how long you in vegas for?
i would highly recommend the following -
- go with netflights.com (do NOT ask for any more insurance at the pick up!!)
- when you get to vegas drop the car off (netflights use dollar and have drop offs / pick ups in most of the hotels). you won't need a car for a day or 2.
- hire a car for 23 hours and 30 minutes. pick up from hotel X. pay for the upgrade (free tank of gas for about £2). use it for what you need it for. drop off car
- pick up another car the next day. upgrade again, and so on
i've done this several times. means you save all your gas and you can get a convertible 1 day, a 4x4 another etc.
there is the hassle of the 5 minutes to fill in the paperwork each time you do the rental. but in my experience you'll save a packet. which you can then put on red!0 -

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Hi Neil,
We are picking up in San Fran, travelling about 2000miles (Vegas being part of the trip) and then leaving it at LA
So just checking what people thought of that T+C as we have booked for £275 thru usrentacar.co.uk0 -

The Bellagio FountainsYep, count us in for the meet.
We leave in 9 days and the itinerary looks as follows at the moment:-
Arrive Friday night, check into Paris, gamble a bit and get something to eat
Saturday - breakfast at Ellis Island, Premium Outlets in the afternoon
Sunday - Mystery Adventures in the afternoon. Hoping we're not the only 2 on it.
Monday - Limo pick up then dinner at Casa di Amore
Tuesday - Move to MGM. Terry Fator followed by dinner at Kokomo's at the Mirage
Wednesday - Cocktails at the West Wing Bar, MGM
Thursday - Maybe Carrot Top at night
Friday - Move from MGM to IP. Donny & Marie at night
Saturday - Hopefully a nap early evening so we don't sleep through O at 10.30
Sunday - Check in to Encore
Monday - Back to IP
Tuesday - Bellagio buffet from breakfast. Move to the Signature, possibly the Eiffel Tower restaurant or Mon Ami Gabi for my birthday dinner
Wednesday - MSE Meet
Thursday - Tom Jones
Friday - Fly home. Boo hoo!
We have plans to eat at the Mandalay Bay, Spice Market and Paris buffets for breakfast and various places for dinner. Will also have another day at the LV Outlets and of course the FSM. May see Legends in Concert, Mac King, Carrot Top, Defending the Caveman and George Wallace once we're there.
Believe it or not, 14 nights and I've still been struggling to fit things in.0 -
Hi all,
Thanks to everyone for your answers to my previous questions. I have one more though!!
Can anyone recommend a cheap mobile phone make and model that I can use in Las Vegas.
I believe I require a tri-band phone but have been told that the cheap tri-band phones won't work in the USA. Whether or not this is true, I don't know.
I would like to buy one prior to going rather than on my arrival in Las Vegas.
Thanks
Daniel0
