    Hi guys,

Has anyone hired a Dodge Charger in Vegas and can you tell me if you think it would take 4 adults, 2 large suitcases and 2 small suitcases?

We are driving from Vegas to LA for the weekend and at the moment its between the Dodge Charger and the Jeep Liberty.

Am I also correct in thinking if I was to have an accident then I would not have to pay any excess or lose the deposit? Of have I read that wrong?

    Thanks
Chargers will easily carry that. huge boots and plenty of space inside.

I had an accident when renting with netflights.com. there was no excess to pay

the itinerary looks as follows at the moment:-

Believe it or not, 14 nights and I've still been struggling to fit things in.

    Hi luci,

    I can TOTALLY believe it!!!

14 nights seems like plenty of time to fit everything in that you want to do in Vegas BUT having planned two holidays there of this duration it really isnt!! There is just SO much to do in Vegas - its unlike any other place I think. There is always something new to try/visit and so many places to visit and restaurants to eat in.

If you are anything like me I always want to go back to the places that I have fallen in love with - so my itinerary doubles!!

Your plans sound great - hope you have an amazing time. Roll on 2010 for me!!!

    I'm back.......
Moved to the Orleans with comped rooms for the last two nights. The renovations are done and there's a few resturant changes but it's all better. Seattles now has free wi-fi which is handy. Someone posted the shuttle no longer goes to Bill's-this isn't correct -it does !

I entered my first slots contest -at the Palms and came 4th $150 for 7 mins free play !! :)

I fell in love with the Wynn -definitely now on my must stay list
Time to get planning the next one lol

    Welcome Back Duchy!!!

Glad you had a great time - well done on your slots contest - not bad at all eh?

Totally agree with the falling in love with Wynn - its easy done isnt it? Its like entering a different world!

As for The Orleans - my favourite "normal" hotel in Vegas - what changes have they done then?
Have they renovated the rooms or just the casino etc?
Have they got rid of any of the restaurants?
Glad to hear the shuttle still goes to Bills - thats a must really given the hotels location.
Any improvement of the slight drain smell in the rooms?
I have heard that the buffet was going downhill - what do you think? I find it hard to believe BUT havent been since last July - so an update from you would be great.
I am "sort of" planning our trip for next year and am tempted to stay at the Gold Coast over The Orleans due to their recent renovations BUT if The Orleans has renovated rooms etc then this will go out of the window. Further info on this (if you have time) would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, I saw that and had to have a look. What a joke. The $89 rate didn't apply to beginning of June, that is $110, then $120 resort fee!!! then $54 tax. as much as I love Signature I will not stay there again as long as the con of the $20-$25 resort fee continues. And what do you get for that? 2 small bottles of water, a paper, free wifi, and use of the gym.
OK broken down it is $139 per night (still a good rate for the place) but unless people make a stand and refuse to be taken in by this con then more and more hotels are going to add this "resort fee" to the headline price. The real joke is that they all say that the fee allows free local calls, well, whippydedoda, and how many local calls are you likely to make. I never stay in a hotel that charges this fee, and never will (except the first time we stayed in the Sig.):o

    Stoneman,

Don't want to be seen to be disagreeing with you (I totally understand what you are saying about the resort fee) but Luxury Suites International prices include the resort fee, at least they did when I used the deal and stayed there last month.

It may have changed since then of course.

    I'm back.......
We did four nights as a taster trip for a Vegas Virgin friend
Flew NW on Good Friday -the earlier flight via Detriot was overbooked and they were offering $1000 for bumps-ah well. The Airbus is really nice-we had exit seats -service was great both ways except for one bad apple on the way back who was so rude the purser got her to apologize-really shocking but credit to NW for dealing with it.
Did 2 nights in a Go room at the Flamingo which was lovely and not as pink as I feared ! Moved to the Orleans with comped rooms for the last two nights. The renovations are done and there's a few resturant changes but it's all better. Seattles now has free wi-fi which is handy. Someone posted the shuttle no longer goes to Bill's-this isn't correct -it does !

i've never entered these slots contests.

I'm sure I've put this before but everyone make sure when you go downtown you join each of the players clubs.
    $10 free play per person!
I got around $300 back from my $50 freeplay. Won $205 from a VP machine in Binnions. Happy days!!

Steff -in 8 stays at the Orleans I've noticed that smell once-when we had a low floor in the old tower-since then we've always asked for and got 17th floor in the new tower. This time we got old tower floor 2 though-but no smell.

Terribles is gone and there's a couple of new ones which we didn't try. I've always found the courtyard to be a bit variable but it was excellent this time. The buffet we only tried for breakfast and still found excellent value -maybe a notch down from it's best but maybe that is because we ate at the Spice market the day before ;)

No room renovations, the casino is entirely recarpeted and there is a new high roller area to the left of reception.
As always not charged the resort fee .

I was a bit worried that it'd seem like a down grade after the Flamingo but we enjoyed both equally if for different things.

We split our stay last summer between the Gold Coast and the Orleans-I really didn't like the GC buffet and found their casino a bit boring but with both the Palms and the Rio across it wasn't an issue.

Cocktail service was patchy at most of the strip casinos but excellent at the Orleans, Palms and Wynn. TI I won't bother going to again-had a machine issue and after two different people said they'd send someone over -half an hour later my friend was still waiting so i found someone else who said "Do you expect me to walk around the casino until i can find someone who can help you?" My reply " Yes-as a customer I *do* " !! 5 mins later sorted -needless to say we cashed out and left.

Our booking this trip is with netflights and they are using Thrifty.

Yeah, i noticed they recently added thrifty, and they are always cheaper than the same dollar option with netflights. At least the queue should hopefully be shorter at the thrifty desk, i always seem to wait a lifetime at the dollar one to get my car:rolleyes:
