so much miss vegas havnt been since xmas nd now only 7 weeks till my son is born u think its too far to take him in december hell be 6 months old

Ultimately thats something only you can decide but personally i would not take an infant to Vegas. I go to vegas to gamble, eat in nice restaurants, see shows, drink and generally have a good time. And no way could I do all that with a baby in tow:eek: :D

For those going to Vegas before the end of the month, this looks like a pretty good deal for lunch at Rosemary's Restaurant (No.2 on Tripadvisor)

Looks like you just print out the page and take it with you, unless I've misunderstood.
Went there for dinner a couple of years ago.........excellent food and service.

    Hey all,

We're off to Vegas in just under 2 weeks to get married and we are wanting to do a night helicopter tour of the strip.

I have found one online on the Viator website which is £47.99.

Can anyone recommend any others and also would it be cheaper to book in advance or just wait until we get there.

    Thanks

    Daniel
Sounds like reasonable value. Check Maverick, Heli-USA, Papillon for comparison as likely the Viator trip is thru one of those.

you can find these pretty easy when you get there so personally i would book while there .

like Froggit says try all the major companys that operate out of McCarren . you can find info in the free magazines usually .

you can sometimes get 2 for 1 Strip @night rides if you book a Grand Canyon Package .

  • Hi all,

Having just returned from our trip to Vegas I just wanted to say a big thanks to all who post advice and information on this site . Me and OH have been going to Vegas for the last ten years but I have only recently discovered this thread !

Stayed at PH this time - not stayed here since it changed from Aladdin . Did the $20 dollar trick , had HIP room booked but managed to get a resort room with fountain view . The great thing about this hotel is that no room is over 6 doors away from a lift . Pool area OK but nothing exciting , 2 pools with some areas in the shade till late morning.

Joined the players club for the first time ever ( I know better late than never - just que always seems so long !) managed to get 4 free buffets at Spice market (well worth a visit) - had to rack up so many points in 72hrs to qualify. Then we got a free go on million $ slot every day if you got 10 points - not difffcult to get - and ended up with free meal at Mexican aswell !

Had a first visit to Ellis Island - great value food and a good night on the beer . Not normally a beer drinker but had to try and ended up with quite a taste for it !

There is now a free bus from Paris to Rio which I think is new - wasn't there last year when we went . Tried to get on it a couple of times but always seemed to be full . In fact this time seemed to be the busiest I've ever seen Vegas - normally busy for weekend and then quieter mid-week but that didn't seem to happen .

Just a little note I still have a players voucher booklet with some coupons in - $5 off spice buffet - buy 1 get 1 free drink etc - runs out end of July and our next trip not till August - happy to post out if anyone wants it :D

Does anyone know where i can buy 2 cheap mobiles in las vegas thanks

    Hi abbeylover,

This isnt stricly answering your question BUT my advice would be to buy two ONE ROAM SIM cards.

If your phone is unlocked then you can order the SIM cards online and simply put them in your phones when you are there. Take a look at the the website for more info.

Me and my OH used them over in Vegas last year and we swear by them. REALLY cheap and allowed us to do our own thing whilst keeping in touch with each other and our friends who were over there at the same time WITHOUT breaking the bank!!

I have attached a link for you (below) we used them last year and I havent researched it this year - so take a look if you are interested.

Well, less than a week to go now, haven't been since New Year and can't wait to get some sun on our backs. This trip we have decided to relax by the pool for best part of the mornings and vow not to shop too much. We think that we might hang around Wynn playing penny slots and drinking Amaretto Cremes in the afternoons, sound kinda civilised (for us anyway).
    Itinerary is something like this.
Flights next Tuesday via the Expedia Au. cheepies that came out last year that didn't have the fuel and supliment taxes added from NWA. £390 for 2 returns. LHR-DWT-LAS then LAS-ATL-LHR.
8 nights at Paris via the London Clubs link £313.00
Car hire, 8 days Dodge Charger £180, ouch!!
Wednesday morning out to WalMart to pick up goodies to take home and a couple of cheap phones.
Tracy's treatments at Nurture Luxor next Wednesday, then hopefully can get some cut price tickets for Carrot Top
Golf booked for Angel Park next Thursday. P.F. Changs for dinner.
Friday trying out the Buffet at M resort then going to see Burlesque with Mel B at PlanetHo.
Saturday dinner at Mon Ami Gabi, will wait to get an outside table for about 6:30pm.
Sunday golf again this time at Stallion Mountain, then BBQ at Ellis Island.
Rest of the time will just see what takes our fancy. The weather looks like being around 30-33 degrees so we will be doing our runs at about 7:30am.
We also are going to not wear a watch for one night and see how long it is before we want to quit gambling. We usually pack in around 12 but maybe we are thinking we should because that is our usual bed time.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Guys just checking my car rental for 2 weeks time and these are the information and terms for insurance..

did someone say they might try and charge you extra for more insurance when we get there? Is it worth getting it or what does it apply to? USrentacar below looks like it includes everything i need?
    • Unlimited Mileage.
    • Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) which is a combination insurance of both Collision damageWaiver (CDW) and Theft Waiver. As long as you adhere to the rental policy of the supplier you will not be held responsible for the cost of replacement or repair to your hire vehicle.
    • Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP) up to $1m Liability Cover. Offers an Uninsured/Underinsured/Hit-and-Run Motorist Protection (UMP) that provides the renter and family members traveling together in the rented vehicle with up to $1,000,000 of non-stacked coverage for bodily injury sustained while driving the rental car, and caused by another driver who has no insurance, minimal insurance, or is a hit-and-run driver.
    • Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) up to $1m Liability Cover. All drivers included on the rental agreement will not be held liable for third party claims for bodily injury or property damage resulting from an accident.
    • All Taxes and Airport Fees. (except the new 2.5% California Tourism Tax which is payable locally for all Californian pick up's.)

In addition to the items above U.S. Rent A Car has negotiated the following features with individual suppliers all of which are included within the Fully Inclusive rate.
Budget Fully Inclusive includes 1 additional driver.
Dollar Fully Inclusive includes 1 additional driver.
