Just been looking on the t'internet where me and DH got hitched 8 years ago.....

http://www.ahollywoodweddingchapel.com/pictures.html

Just me n him, the Rev who married us and his wife. (who was the photographer). It was quite cool, a nice, short ceremony, we walked it there and back as it is up the road from Sahara in our wedding togs, and had loads of ppl wishing us luck and congrats. (including a Wino who told us we looked "mighty sharp") :D

We went to the Tornanment of Kings for a meal/show at night. It was fab, no fuss, just how we wanted it.

A shopping question for you all........thinking of going to either the las vegas outlet center or thelas vegas premuim outlet, the first is south of the luxor and the later questioned is between stratosphere and downtown. just wondering which one people prefer and what would be the better one to go to? I'd imagine both outlets have got exactly the same stores as each other but im happy to hear peoples views please?

GO TO THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!! lol :D Bargains galore to be had :D
The outlet south of Luxor, has Levi's n Sketchers (and they always have offers on 2 for $40, etc) and a few big department stores.
I would also get a Vegas city map that shows you where all the shopping malls are.
If you have a car while you are there, go to Primm on a day out as they have a good outlet too. And also the Meadows Mall in Vegas which is ok for a browse round as well.
Oh and if you want to be really cheesy - go to Walmart - that's hilarious - Food, clothes, paint, plumbing, toys, gym equipment, entertainment, gardening stuff and firearms - all under one roof. Better than Tesco :rotfl:

I made it to both outlet malls and Walmart on my last trip :rotfl:
I would go to both, some similar shops, but they're not all the same. (The one south of Luxor is all indoors, the other is outdoors - hope that makes sense).
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

There's very little between them. They both now have a Timberland. The LV Outlets are inside and the Premium Outlets are outside.

Most people seem to prefer the Premium, but we prefer the LV Outlets and go there if we only have time for one, otherwise we go to both.

....doesn't my wife look just beautiful in this picture! :D ... anyways, had a mini-roast chicken, a chunk of broccoli and some potatoe wedges and bread... oh, and a pint of 'dragons blood' :)

(btw, thanks to whoever posted the link to Virgin Car Hire --- worked out £30 cheaper for a Dodge Charger with them! :) sweet! -- i know i could have price matched with CarHire3000 but at least I can moan at Dickie Branson if they let me down :D )

I take it you have not seen the Amargosa Hotel yet. Have a look at some of the reviews on Tripadvisor:

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60787-d119404-Reviews-Amargosa_Hotel-Death_Valley_California.html

It's totally up to you but I thought I'd just make you aware. When we called in last August (just for an ice cream) the place didn't smell too good. I could not imagine staying the night there, especially after the luxury of Vegas.

EDIT: Has anyone else been here ? It's like going back in time, only it smells worse !

Thanks for the concern, but I have read the reviews and we are prepared...

Its only for one night and we just want to be able to get out around Death Valley on our way to LA and have a bit of a different experience...

The four of us have backpacked around the world including !!!!! houses in Macau, wooden huts in various places etc...

You can get to both of them on the Deuce which is $3 one way or $7 for a 24 hour pass. It took us 20 mins to get to the LV Outlets from the stop at the Excalibur.

There are a couple of ways to get to the Premium by Deuce, but the driver should be able to help you.

No idea how much a taxi would be, but would guess at $20-25.

lol "dragon's blood" that's cunningly disguised as cola :rotfl:

BTW we went to that for our 5th wedding anniversay and sat at the front. One of the horses kicked up sand that landed on DH's chicken :rotfl:

He said it was the nicest he's ever had - eeeeeeewwwww  :D

Ferf, you mentioned being in the Dollar priority club and you usually book direct. Is that with Dollar U.K. or U.S.? We always use scrappers to find the best deal, have looked at booking direct before but have trouble adding up all the extras we need(CDW,Taxes, etc) and then it always looks more expensive than booking all inclusive from here. Any info on the best way to go about it would be helpful as the priority thing looks good. I find almost the most stressful part about arriving in Vegas is the line for the car hire. Honest, you can have 3 people in front of you and it could take 45 minutes to get to the car with the clerks trying to sell add ons and the numpties not having the correct documents

I registered via the US site earlier tonight. Anything to avoid a big queue after a 10hr flight. Waited 2hrs last year in Dollar SF - will never go there again !
