LOL.. Well I've just turned 30 so I guess any terms of young might be pushing it! quote]

    These things are relative!
    30 seems old when you're 16/17..... when you're 40+ however........:D

If you copy and paste the link above into your address bar (cant figure out how to get it so you can just "click on it" EDIT - seems to have done it by itself!) it shows my original post with the Ellis sland BBQ photo - yummy!

PS - The Bills Steak Dinner that isnt advertised was $14.99 for a starter of either soup or salad then a steak with your choice of potato - chips, mash etc. Bargain - gets pretty full though - time enough to enjoy a few more 99c Margharitas!!!

I am so hungry now - really love that place! Especially with a 2-for-1 coupon...it's just silly value. Small place though - we've had to wait an hour more than once...at least they give you a number and call over the tannoy...always been worth the wait we thought.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We found that as it opens at 4pm, if you get there about 3:30 you might get in the first seating group, but get there at 4-4:30 and you will be waiting an hour at least. We go about 5:30 and usually get seated within 15-20 minutes. Mind, it gives me time to have a couple of $1 pints of Amber ale, and do try the home made root beer, it's top stuff
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

30 is young enough to me. :) Personally, I would skip Bellagio if I were you - others may disagree.

I wouldn't think PH was worth $150 more than Flamingo myself, but again, others may disagree.

You dont like the Bellagio ferf ?

It's not that I dislike it (thought the fountain view room was lovely for a treat) but if having a posh room and hotel isn't of the utmost importance I can't see that it has enough additional value to justify the additional cost...and we preferred Wynn by a mile to Bellagio even though we like Bellagio's location better. :)

Also, for what he's said he's looking for Bellagio doesn't seem the best fit to me...but others may have a different take on it.

Oh, you're making it worse! Their root beer is the BEST!

Me neither, if you don't get a fountain view room the alternatives are just not up to a 5* standard IMHO

We stayed in renovated rooms at the Gold Coast in the summer.
Despite the rooms being nicer than the Orleans rooms -the buffet was a major step down but unlike the Orleans you have the choice of other hotels to eat at -both the Palms and the Rio were good for that.
For a budget trip I'd stay there again without hesitation

LA is strange place but somewhere you have to visit once in your life . and you will definatly need a car if you stay there .

agree with Ferf .. Warner Bros studio tour was one of the best things we have ever done as holiday activity . make sure you book it before you go .

a word of note , we had a long wait at passport control at LAX ( over and Hour !!) and were told the queue was over 2 hours earlier in the day. personally i would stay in LA for a day or 2 rather than fly ( or drive ) straight on .
I had looked at doing Warner bros in LA in a couple of weeks time, we have been to Universal and when I looked on Warner bros website it didnt look to thrilling.

Now you and Ferf both recommend it can I ask why, what is there to do etc.

    Thanks
