I have never really spoken about kids and Vegas as I know what a lot of you on here think about the two.

I have quite a bit of expirence though, as I have been taking a child to Vegas since 1999.

I am more than happy to answer specific questions on Vegas and kids either on here or via pm (feel free to pm me).

This will be the last year we go for a while though, until we can leave him at home.

I dont know of any where they are free up to 16 though

I think that was my typo...I meant 12 or 14 and managed to type 14 or 16. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I have had some MGM offers I have booked online and not been able to access but when I have called them had no problem and had no problem when I checked in . You do need to check though as there have been links posted on places like Fat Wallet and even on here where the rates were a private offer and not meant to be in the public domain and not honoured so you do need to check.

I have had a confirmation email....would that be enough to honour my booking??

Thats not right, and nor was your previous post about kids and hotels in vegas.

In vegas and the west, most hotels, kids up to 12 go free with no tax to pay. Some like the Wynn, CP to name a couple for example charge for any age. MB they are free up to 14 again with no extra taxes.

I have stayed at approx 25 different hotels in California and Vegas with a child and never been charged for him or charged any extra taxes

I dont know of any where they are free up to 16 though

In the last 3 years i have spent 6 months in the Western States of the USA.

In most instances it has been my experience that 2 adults would be less than 2 adults and 2 children. The difference being tax (where the children stay free) When i queried this it was explained to me that more than 2 people per room commands a higher tax rate.

It may be in Las Vegas they do not charge extra tax on children in honesty i can't really say. But they most certainly do in many other hotels - not just in the West but across the South and Mid South too.

I would call them if you are concerned at all...I would if it were me and I couldn't see the reservation in their online system...just for peace of mind.

Not necessarily. There was a case last year when the MGM pulled the plug on an offer. I think it was a targetted offer sent to specfic player's club members, but was posted on a forum. Loads of people too advantage of it and received the automatic confirmation email only to receive another email saying they were not entitled to the offer.

As ferf says, call them. I'm forever calling hotels in Vegas about rooms or shows.

    ok another question
I booked the IP through a casino host and have also had confirmation. When I go to the IP site to check my booking it is there but say's it's for 1 person.....as the casino host in question no longer works at the IP I cannot contact him....yes I do have an email for him at Cesars Palace where he now works but as he wouldn't have access to IP reservations I don't see the point.....do you think I should ring them as well or leave it until we get there as I obviously have a room booked.

And just one more question.I'm seriously considering buying an ARCHOS 7 just incase the seatback entertainment doesn't work. This gives you 10 hours of video playback
I have a portable dvd player but that only has 2 hours of play....even with an additional battery that would only give me 4 hours.
I know the ARCHOS 5 gives you 7 hours of play and you can get a battery life extender thingy wich will give you extra.
How many films would I be able to store on say a 120gb
    :hello: LORRAINE :hello:

its ok I've found the answer to the last question 160gb will store up to 200 movies....awesome
