The Bellagio Fountainswe liked our one night at Bellagio, but if it weren't for the fountain view I think we would have been disappointed...we found the rooms at Wynn to be far, far nicer and more comfortable and are hoping to score a comped night at Encore for next trip...we much preferred the overall feel of Wynn too...where we felt a bit out of place at Bellagio, we didn't feel that way at Wynn for whatever reason...I kind of feel that Bellagio is 'LOOK HOW POSH WE ARE!' where as Wynn is more 'Yeah, we're posh...carry on'. Or something.
It's all relative though - Bellagio is a luxury hotel and if you're after a luxury hotel and the price is right then I'm sure it will be lovely...the rates Luci has found are fantastic for Bellagio...but I would really try for a fountain view room as that really made our stay.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio Fountainsgot to have thoose fountains if staying at Bellagio . it would be like going to disney and not seeing mickey mouse if you didn'tBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0

The Bellagio FountainsIn your opinion that is. I think its the most overrated "luxury" hotel on the strip. Poor pool area, average rooms (for the cost), most with poor views.
If the location is one of its good points then I'm sure you'll start recommending IP.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
The Fremont street experienceI agree that the Bellagio is over rated. Unless you get a fountain view room it's like being in any other hotel. I found the room we were in quite small, and the maid service was hit and miss
I agree, but in honesty there really isn;t much difference between most hotels' rooms on the strip (basic)
Worst ive stayed though were New York New York a few years back. Favourite has to be The Hotel.0 -

The other hotels I booked for 4 in total. The Luxor say children have to be under 12 but we are going to book in without him and hope it works out okay.
Kids in most US hotels go free. However, more than 2 people per room and you pay extra tax.0 -

It depends on the age of the child and the hotel, especially in Vegas...some hotels class children as under 14 or under 16 so those who are older are considered adults and the relevant charges apply.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

No i meant when regarding free child places. The child is free, but tax is often still payable because there are more than 2 people in the room.0 -

Thats not right, and nor was your previous post about kids and hotels in vegas.
In vegas and the west, most hotels, kids up to 12 go free with no tax to pay. Some like the Wynn, CP to name a couple for example charge for any age. MB they are free up to 14 again with no extra taxes.
I have stayed at approx 25 different hotels in California and Vegas with a child and never been charged for him or charged any extra taxes
I dont know of any where they are free up to 16 though0 -

Not my experience at all. Tax is payable on the room rate-extra tax would only apply if extra charges are raised -such as rollawaysI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
