No delemma, THEHotel without a doubt. You have the brillient suites and of course the pool. Post the link to that please, might have a look for May
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

We've booked Mandalay Bay, got it through FatWallet and it works out about £50 per night. It gives me the luxury I want but the swimming pool/beach area looks great. Like you we didn't want Circus Circus, although we have got a couple of nights at The Stratosphere and three nights at Luxor so should get a good idea of what we enjoy. Our children are aged 13 and 10 and Mandalay Bay don't charge any extra for them.

Great thank you - the Four Seasons is based in the same building so we are familiar with that area.

Did you specify there would be 4 people staying in the same room when you made the booking? Or did you book for 2 and advise them of your 2 kids separately

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi all,

I was regularly reading of this thread during the summer whilst planning my 40th birthday celebration in Vegas last August. Ended up staying at the Four Seasons which was absolutely brilliant, if a little expensive.

Guess what, at the end of March we are flying to LA and planning on a few nights in Vegas to celebrate my wife's 40th! Only this time we are taking our 2 kids as well (aged 8 and 6) - can anyone recommend a decent family friendly hotel that will also satisfy my wife's need for a bit of luxury?

I don't want to go as low as Circus Circus and am thinking that Excalibur may not be as high end as she would like! Any suggestions?

Also what are your experiences with having children stay in the same room? Policies seem to vary by hotel ie; some charge a lot more for additional occupancy whilst others are happy to let kids stay for free?

    Thanks,

    John.

Manadaly Bay doesnt charge for kids under 14 and is a touchof class with great pool, and some great deals at the moment

There are many others that let under 12s stay free and just as many that charge.

If you post a list of your possibles I will try and let you know

Just seen you second post. It states clearly in MB t and cs that only over 14 are charged for

Just rung the future mrs daz and her reply was 'book it' referring to THEHotel!!

Was gonna split it 3 & 3 at both. We have 5 nights at the Luxor Pyramid spa beforehand too. That would work out at $392 at MGM june 5-8 and $277.95 for 3 nights at MB, but I had another look and decided to do the whole 6 nights at MB. Rates were as low as $85 during our stay!!

I got the deal from here mate

If you book MB online only put 2 guests in, you can either call them and let them know or leave it till you get there

Thank you - yep noticed in the MB Ts and Cs that it clearly states kids under 14 are OK so I think we will settle for there. Walking distance to the fabulous breakfasts at the Four Seasons!

Now to find the best deal - 5 nights from 29th March is $555 for a 550 strip view room is the best I can find at the moment!

I think that is the best deal available at the mo and unlikely to be better IMO. I am there for 3 nights from the 30th but I wouldnt pay the extra for the strip view. I will try $20 for an upgrade, but I dont mind getting a pool/airport view as the strip is so far away anyway.

I am moving to the Paris after that and will try hard to get a fountain view from there

if it's refundable book it and wait to see if a better price comes along

    Thanks for all the replies.

The same sized non-Strip view room is only $455 which is a great price. Will try the $20 trick at check-in as I've read a lot about it but never tried.
