Quick favour to ask from whoevers next in Vegas. Please could you look in the various Sportsbooks, and see if there is any American Idol betting, and whether they do in play betting ie during a programme.

This never occurred to me...I'm a big AI fan, so this is an interesting idea - something for me to check out, anyway!

Sturll - was the show shown pretty prominently in the sportsbook? I know it may depend on what actual sporting events are on at the same time.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Not really, it was on one of the many many screens. So its easy to see and obv to hear but no, it wasn't on the big screen.

Im hoping to see if theres any value in arbing between Casino sportsbooks and Betfair. If anyone can let me know the odds available, Id appreciate it.....may have to organise a trip!!!

ferf - if you want to play the American Idol market on Betair, sign up using the referrals thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=19021341#post19021341 for some free money. :)

I backed Alexis at 50-1 - looking excellent value now.

Have you had trouble accessing UK betting sites while in the Us? I know there's the option to go through a proxy server (we've done it before to watch F1) but it was fiddly and didn't always work.

I will go through your referral if I join BetFair (unless hubby has account which I think he might)...but the exchanges scare me. :)

Yes I have had trouble!!! What I will do next time though is download some remote control software to my Ipod Touch, and remote control my PC back in the UK. That will avoid any restrictions either the USA or gambling sites have.

Probably $20-$22 depending on traffic I think.
