    Well blow if I don't just get through saying that there are never any offers from Platinum than one lands in my email. Here is the link. Book 2 nights during March Madness and get the third complimentry

    If I booked two lots of 3 nights (ie. 6 nights, getting 2 free), do you think they'd charge for an extra night or move us to other rooms mid stay (is it against the ts and cs)? When you put in 6 nights you only get one free. :p

    Oops, answered my own question. Small print mentions next complimentary stay being between April and June. Got my hopes up for a second. Guess they saw that one coming!

    cheers for your replys stoneman, photome + trust

    defo getting the charger now... you're right about the mustang look - think that's why i'm so keen (plus seeing the vids of the turbo chargers on youtube :D )

    as regards the NWA stuff, we've got a "AIRBUS INDUSTRIE A330-300" for transatlantic which looks good and modern so fingers crossed it will all be fine! :) (got 757 for the 4hr jaunt from detroit to vegas - if that's bad it doesn't bother me as much as i'm used to crappy shorthaul planes) :)

    here's my flight schedule:

    There:
    London -> Detroit
    Detroit -> Vegas

    Back (this is a nightmare but the !!!!!!s cancelled our return plane so no choice but to take two in place of it making it 3 overall!!!):
    Vegas -> LA
    LA -> Paris
    Paris -> London

    SO.... one thing i'm sure Stoneman has answered for me before (but i completely fail to remember) is what needs doing where and when? Do we have to recheck our bags at all airports both there and back (apart from final destinations)?

    Any other hints / tips / warnings? :)

    [edit to say] - crappers, didn't think i'd signed up for Total Rewards, but missus reminded me we signed up at Ceasars in 2006... plums - wanted some more freebies! :D [/edit]
    OK, first I am concerned that because one of your sectors was canceled they are sending you on a merry chase. We had this with a flight coming up with NW and they wanted us to spend 22 hours in Atlanta because our flight from Vegas was canceled and we would have missed our connection. I looked on their site and found a flight 3 hours earlier that would make our connection so I got them to put us on that. Just type in the journey LAS-LHR on the day you are traveling and see what it comes up with.
    Now luggage LHR-DTW. Check-in LHR and drop bags, arrive DTW, go through immigration and customs, collect bags, put bags back on connection belt, go through security again, get on plane to LAS, collect bags at LAS and out of terminal.
    LAS-LAX-CDG-LHR check in LAS drop bags, collect bags LHR, that's it for the return.
    Have a look at the seating on "seatguru" to pick the best for your trip. I only check-in for a NW flight at the airport because all of the isle seats in the front of Y are reserved for elites until the day of departure so that section is usually empty, see if you can get them to put you on either end seat of the middle 4 to block off the whole 4 seats
    The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    cheers for that and advice over checking NWA :)

    checked NWA, only return options (offered) are:
    LAS -> MSP
    MSP -> AMS
    AMS -> LHR

    or same via. detroit instead of MSP

    the only '2-leg' flight is via. New York and sets out at 6:55am (as opposed to ours that sets off @ 5pm'ish)

    I think i checked at the time and there were few options though they seem to change their mind more than i change my pants so was worth another check :)

    its good how @ Vegas (outbound) we can just grab our bags and dash for the exit! :D (as long as they get the bags to us quickly!) :D

    thanks again! :)

    (edit: nice tip for reserving seats- we've already done them all apart from the short 1hr connectors either side of the return transatlantic - will definitely have a look at the better ones closer to the time (24 hours prior?))

    Agree with you and tingtong...we've both had one video player or another with us for several trips now and it makes such a difference - we wouldn't fly without them anymore (we both have Zen products now but hubby is looking to upgrade to the Archos 7 soon)...even when the IFE is working, I rarely watch it as I have my Zen loaded with stuff I WANT to watch. I bought a battery extender for mine (takes AA)...like this one:

    http://www.addonsworld.co.uk/Hw/ZEN-BATTERY-EXTENDER/AD-ZEN-VM-B/product.htm

    While it's meant to recharge the battery in full once from flat, if you keep it plugged in and turned on the whole time you're using your player I've had well over 10 hours using it before I even thought to recharge...haven't tested it to see exactly how long it will go...they have similar things for most types of players.
    Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Did the t and c def say that.

    I looked yesterday and I though they said that the free night would be deducted at checkout or alternatively you could hav a comp night in the next 90 days after the offer finishes.

    I take that to apply to a 3 night booking rather than 6 nights though.

    I had a miserable time at Venetiam it really was not for me, I wonder if the offer I received was different based on my play

    We stayed there in Nov and we had a wonderful time. The room was superb, the service excellent and they knocked off our few extra charges when we were checking out without any prompt. We'll absolutely stay here again......
    Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!
