The Bellagio Fountainsfunkyfin casino's around freemont have a couple of quarter's machines, so you could try there, (Four Queens..)
Or something different the little horse racing game in the MGM grand seems to always attract a crowd, not a slot admitedly but a bit of fun and you can will a small bit
Also try the smaller casino's Ellis Island springs to mind,
Have not seen any of the money shufflers, think that is more UK where you can see the cash and you think you may win it all
Horseracing one is worth a punt
Ellis island are ticket out. I havent had cash out of a slot for a couple of years, but i havent been to them all0 -

Still looking at others though, ideally mid-strip, especially after Stoneman's comments. Stoneman, thanks for the heads up. Well worth considering the taxi issue as i'm sure we'll be using a few. When you say that the route looks rough, are you meaning the route to the strip runs through a dodgy neighbourhood or a building site?
couldn't pre-book the premium seats when booking but managed to book seats for going out. Will look into the bubble seats.
I have no idea what rates are at Platinum, maybe you could post the rates you are getting and we could all look for same/similar rates at one of the good strip properties.0 -

for me its worth every minute to fly with united via either San Fran or LA and pay the small ammount for Economy plus, actually I dont pay now becasue of my status otherwise its $349 per year and that covers two of youIts Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -

Direct is the only way to go . Virgin are fine .
I once flew business into LA then caught a TED flight to Vegas . It took an extra 4 hours nearly to do this . I swore blind never again0 -

Yes they are that bad.
Heathrow to La ,virgin are great, modern planes, great IFE.
Garwick to Vegas is the pits, old uncomfortable planes and rubbish (if working) IFE.
Is it worth the extra hours to connect.. I dont know.0 -

It's personal choice really...Virgin's planes on the route are rubbish, relatively speaking...they are old, showing their age, as has been said the IFE is hit and miss and in many cases the handsets are bolted into the side of the seats which makes them difficult to use, etc...the seats are not very comfortable, the configuration is not ideal and all that.
But some (like us) continue to fly with Virgin because they are direct...to us it's worth not having to make a connection...to others, they would rather have a more comfortable flight with a connection.
All that said after reading about AA's platinum challenge, if we go back this fall we'll likely fly with AA to try to make platinum...which will mean making a connection...we'll see if we find it to be worthwhile.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsI am still hankering after one night at the Encore on the cheap. The cheapest I have seen it so far is £89/night, but that had a minimum stay of 2 nights. The dearest was $312.
I think I have tried all the usual sites, but would be grateful for any suggestions of ones I may have missed.0 -
