The Bellagio FountainsThe opening game is on the 6th, so looking to go on the 7th or 8th (tue or wed) evening games. the first three or four nights are all aginst the same team . I thought that was a bit odd, but i know nothing about baseball.
It seems that tickets go on sale in march sometime so i will keep an eye on their website. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Seems a bit of a surprise with the Hard Rock Hotel already being in Vegas (though admittedly not on the strip.)

We stayed in the Luxor last time and found it very comfortable and convenient for everything on the strip. At the moment we have booked into the Stratosphere as we found a really cheap deal and thought we would therefore have more funds to spend once over in Vegas however after reading all your reviews and comments we are having second thoughts due to the distance from the main strip, the 'Downtown' area and doubts over the rooms/facilities. Any comments? Where could we stay which is on a similar level to the Luxor or better but will not break the bank? Are there any new hotels on the strip which may be worth a try as it sounds like some of the older hotels are tiring a bit and in need of a refurb.
Any replies much appreciated......Bring on April!
Hi, have you tried your dates with this offer http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/2...club-escape-3/ at the MGM?
Yeah i have looked at the offer and its working out for the dates when im going ( 16th-21st April ) to $596.98 Would you say its a good price at the mo or would it be better to hold fire and see if a better deal comes up? Thanks for your help.0 -

Yeah 4 games against the A's who were pants last year. Divisional rivals so liable to have a lot of A's fans turning up for the first series of the season so get in early for tickets! the second series...Angels vs Red Sox is a rerun of the first round of playoff games last season.... Angles wil be gunning for revenge!
162 games in a regular season and they never play individual games against opponents. its always 2,3 or 4 game series and they never schedule 2 games on the one day. Double headers or single games only happen when you have to make up games through rain delays or some other happening.. Typically teams play 26-28 games in a month, all over the country!!!!
If you can't get to see the Angles, consider driving a bit to see the Padres or Dodgers. dodger stadium is one of the few remianing "classic" stadiums left.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsThe show is long sold out (the venue only seats 4,000)...so the only way you'll get tickets is through a reseller...you can have a look around for various options - I've never used a ticket reseller so I can't recommend any but maybe someone else here can...there are loads of resellers selling for a lot less than the Ticketmaster marketplace but I have no idea how trustworthy they are.
As for hotels - the MGM deal that has been posted here several times will cover your dates, I think...

Thanks for reply................. I was on Ticket master the day the tickets went on presale and even managed to get the passcode but every time i tried i got a message saying "sorry the tickets are unavailable, please try again......" we did this several times but gave up and thought we might have better luck when they went on general sale a few days later. Went on bang on the time they were put on for general sale but still no joy! even if you go on there now you can get all the way to how many tickets you need, where to sit etc but still the same message! You would of thought they would of taken it off and said sold out. Anyway like you say im a bit unsure of the resellers as there are hundreds of them on the web, some having pretty good prices but just not sure how to play it without getting stung?Would you think they might be selling some through the ticket booths in Vegas?
As for the hotel deal it does cover the dates (16th-21st April) and coming out at $596.98,same as someone else kindly gave me.0 -

They don't say sold out because they now have a reseller option on their site (where presumably they take a cut)...in the olden days, they would say sold out...but now they have a chance to make some money on the reselling side...it's caused issues with some artists (Bruce Springsteen, at least) as it seems dodgy. If you mean the discount ticket booths then no - not a chance they will have tickets to The Killers...they specialise in shows that rarely sell out...if there are reseller booths in Vegas (never noticed any but never looked) then it's possible they will have them, but chances are they will be quite pricey.
You have to understand that for such a small venue tickets probably sold out in under a minute both on the presale and the day of general release (a non-Killers concert in LA with 20,000 seats sold out in 2 minutes last week)...fans and resellers alike would all have been going for the same few seats so only a relative few would have been successful.
Edited to add - we may try for Paul McCartney tickets at the same venue...but I would be absolutely stunned if we were successful even if we're logged on the second they go on sale.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Best prices so far are around £250 for the Flamingo and £360 odds for Ballys. Had a look on fat wallet but most of their promos end in April or May. The problem is we can't decide whether its worth paying the extra for Ballys. Any further recommendations or suggestions welcome.

The Bellagio FountainsHi Glad you enjoyed the Luxor I do think that after staying there you will feel that you have missed something. Have a look at these links there is one for Excalibur that will cover your period from about $30 a night the room quailty is only slightly lower than than the Luxor but the location great I think that this would make your holiday far better than staying at the Strat. Have a great one Simon

Thanks for replying Simon......
What is the Excalibur like? I'm sure i have read on here that its not that great by some reviewsbut i could be wrong? i like the idea of it being near the majority of the strip compared to the Stratosphere, we did book up the latter as it was quite cheap but after reading all the posts we have had a change of heart and we would like somewhere more special, if i was with a group of mates it would be fine but would prefer a better quality of room with my girlfriend. At first we were looking at the signature, wynn and similar ones but decided that those choices were a bit too extravagant, and then we decided to go cheap, we're not very good at decisions! Now I'm fairly sure we want to upgrade and stay right in the centre of it all so we can get by with walking and not worry about taxis and we'd like a bit of luxury room-wise. Any suggestions?

The Bellagio FountainsI stay at the Excalibur when I travel to Vegas solo and I have always found it to be ok.
The check in staff have always been helpful and I have had no issues with the rooms I think the widescreen rooms are better appointed but the channels on the TV are very restricted but you don't go to Vegas to watch TV.
My only problem with the Excalibur is the Buffet its a bit grim.0 -

Thanks for your feedback.
I guess it will have to be a reseller but finding a safe site to get 2 tickets might be tricky?0
