I am staying at the Wynn at the moment, got 6 nights for £620 through cityandshow.com

Can you find out how much a round of golf is please.;) ;)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Just had a look over at Hotwire and looks like the Wynn for $129+tax per night for our trip in May. Might sit and wait to see if any offers come up as there was tell that Wynn dumped a lot of priiceline winners over to Trump claiming they were full at the end of January.
my initial understanding was this was more of a Priceline ball's up? (but they tried to offload the blame onto Wynn?)

either way, you'd be gutted wouldn't you!

i'd tell them where they could shove their trump if they tried to do that to me! ;)
  • I found a deal for a suite at MGM for $70 / night in July from here but I'm wondering whether it will be so swelteringly hot that it won't be enjoyable? I have only ever been in late September and April, so not sure whether i should go ahead with it or not??

Also - does $70/night for a suite sound like a good idea at that time of year? I'm a bit out of the loop with Vegas prices at the mo....
  • sorry i meant does it sound like a good price, not idea!!

It's really a personal preference...we've been twice in June and swear we will never go back in the summer (though we swore that after the first time, so)...we found it to be far too hot to really enjoy ourselves and the first time, when we went for 8 nights for our anniversary in June, we booked for November within a week of getting back as we felt like we really wanted a normal trip that year...the second time was only because we were going to be in the US anyway and tacked a few nights in Vegas onto the end...it's fine when you're inside, but once you step out - even after dark - it's pretty dire...but neither of us like it hot.

Others think it's absolutely fine and enjoy their summer trips...so it's really a relative thing.

We spent a week in Vegas in August and much as we all love Vegas we were glad to leave as the heat was wearing and after several days we'd had enough. Moving on to Ca where it cooled a little at night was a welcome relief. I'd still go again that time of year but not for longer than 4 days. Prices were amazingly cheap for hotels as the heat does deter people so the trade off works in some ways.

Not sure if anyone else is interested, but just in case it helps anyone...further Paul McCartney info from The Joint's box office info line (no info other than on-sale date and time at ticketmaster.com).

Floor is all general admission standing - $195/ticket
Balcony is reserved seating - also $195/ticket

VIP tables are $500 per ticket

keep meaning to post this (and keep forgetting) but ferfs post has just reminded me!

they're not my cup of tea at all (as i'm far too young to appreciate tripe ;) ) but as there seem to be a fair few people there for April, Travis are on at House of Blues @ Mandalay Bay on April 12th

I wouldn't normally mention something like this but it's only $25!

    http://hob.com/tickets/eventdetail.asp?eventid=20233

edit: just double checked they had tickets left (which they have!)... but also noticed there's a few additional charges (per ticket)!!!
    Convenience Charge -- US $8.10
Building Facility Charge -- US $4.00

brilliant! :) I wonder if they let you off the facility charge if you promise not to go the toilet ;) :rotfl:
