Or you could try this link for Guest Services

    https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=guestservices&pid=LUX

It asks for your confirmation number and either credit card number or email address. Once you log in it may give you the option to change/cancel your reservation.

Thats a really good price for the Signature, I've got a Celebrity Spa Suite for three of those dates for $89.00, if it wasn't for the resort fee of $15.00 I would seriously consider it.

    Anybody have any thoughts??

Thanks for your help, I rung them on their 888 number so hopefully it's not going to cost me an arm and a leg. The total cost of the saving is about £30 so well worth a long distance phone call. The reservations team were very helpful and the booking was cancelled no problem.

Thanks for this, the Luxor offer saves me $50 but I now have to cancel my existing booking. Does anyone know the best way to do this, they say to ring them, is it a freephone number from the UK and is it quite straightforward.

I dont know anything about skype, how much is the minimum? Do you need a handset or mic?

There are now prefix numbers (from the callchecker) that only charge 0.5p per minute, that is the one I use.

OK skype is free to install and to use https://www.skype.com its like a sort of MSN messenger, you dont need a handset, though you can buy them (I had no joy getting the USB one to work) you just need a headset with a micraphone. The standard level of skype will only allow you to call other Skype users and this is free. To call landlines, mobiles etc you need to buy "Skype out" this is effectivly and upgrade of your skype account and the upgrade is free but you need to put some credit on your account I put a tenner on about 18 months ago and have around £6 left, most of that was used to get support from Virgin (I dont have a fixed line phone at home). I speak to my friend in Vegas on his mobile probably 2 - 3 times a month somtimes for ages and it costs pennies. Skype uses the internet to get to the nearest exchange of the number that you call and then just makes the call locally very cheaply, of course on 0800 numbers that means that the call is free to you. Skype have another product called "Skype in" this gives you a fixed line type telephone number that you can use for incoming calls.

I dont work for skype I promise ;)

There are a handfull out there that cover that period (or most of the year) but they will likely not be the best deals you will see for that period - still have some months to go until the August/September deals are out.

You could check the LCI link though - if you can get a membership at one of their UK casinos, the rates can be quite stunning at times.

List of casinos that are part of the LCI group.

Link to check room rates - note that if you want to change your dates or hotel searched - you have to go back to the main page, or they will default to standard Harrahs rates.

    http://www.harrahs.com/lci/

Personally I've found that at least at times, the LCI rate is waaaaay less than 20% off...and that the 'from $xx' listed aren't necessarily anything to go by as sometimes they are a lot cheaper.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
