  • I slipped up

In fact frankly I ran screaming from the challenge and made an Avon order.

I have in my defence M'lord run out of body lotion.

    1. fruity natural (yeah right ) tangerine (!) body lotion 75p
    2. neck and chest restorer :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I know that's not what its called but that is what it supposedly does. *awaits miracle* A shocking 4.50
    3. fake tan stuff. (not only will I look like a tangerine I will also smell like one - see number 1) - 1.75 rep special I think?
    4. Is perfume part of the challenge oooops:o

I blame it on extreme stress of returning to work and having to use (up ) all the lotions I didn't like. GOD I loathe the smell of vaseline instensive care. and the stuff I got for christmas smells YUCKY.

I am sad I didn't quite mange it but hey ho no more box under the bed and good skin regime going on, I am now left with foot soaks and random face masks!!!

    xxx

I did resist the make up and free bag,
    Nevertheless she persisted.

    Hi Buffy,

Never mind about the slip up, if it keeps you bouyed up to do the rest of the challenge then it's okay by me :D

I know what you mean though about using up stuff you don't like using. I've just been looking in a pot and it's one that I've decanted something into and now I'm not sure what it is. I know I should write on the pot what the contents are but I always think I'll remember, I never do, but still I never learn.

    I'm here!

I wondered where everyone was too!

Things going ok for me, less than 14 days to go now, however restarting immediately the next day.

I'm one of those with enough moisturiser to last a year at least (I'm already worrying about how I will cope when I run out! :o ) Skin looks a bit rubbish with a few lumps and bumps, so was it worth spending all that money I don't have in the first place??????

    Don't think so! :o  :o

I sold the Nails Inc set on ebay for a loss. Better than having it and not using it so I don't mind. I've been keeping a list of what I have bought in the 100days and what I have sold on ebay in the same time and I will offset them against each other to see what the total spend is! I find looking at what I have spent fascinating. Previously over the Christmas period I would have bought nearly every TSV on QVC for 'presents' (ie for me:o ). This year due to this challenge I didn't buy one! :D

The other thing I wanted to say was I took SarahNeedle's advice and listed some half used, not liked/wanted items on ebay and they have bids on them! I wold have thrown them away previously so I'm quite pleased if they make a little bit of money! ;)

Kerfuffle, where are you? You always post so early!

  • I'm sill here, keeping up well with the challenge... I have only bought a couple of things since I started the challenge, and both of them were a) needed because I'd run out and b) I bought them with points :)

Gald you have got some bids for your used items fedup, even if you only get a couple of quid, its still more than throwing them away! Yay!!

Are most people finishing the challenge at the same time? I will keep going until everyone else finishes, and will start again when everyone else does... that way I won't get lost :o

    Hello everybody,

it's good to see people are still around, I was getting worried that the thread would trickle away.

Fedupandskint, I'm a Yorkshire Lass in Canada, so my posts will be at random times as I'm 7 hours behind you. Glad to see you managed to sell the Nail Inc kit, shame it's at a loss but at least it's something back. Don't do it again:naughty:

SarahNeedle1872, most people are finishing the challenge at the same time, some started earlier and some started later but the majority are aiming for 10th April I think.

Once the 10th April arrives I think I will be starting the challenge again but with modifications as some of the stuff I pledged not to buy are nearly used up so I will need to start buying them again, and as I said in an earlier post I'm also going to pledge not to buy lattes from coffee shops and just have the house blend.

I've found this to be a really good challenge as it's really made me think twice about buying anything, and as it's turned out I haven't bought anything that I shouldn't have. That's not to say I haven't picked stuff up and been very tempted because I have, but then I've reminded myself that I don't need it (and can't afford it) so I've then put it back. I'm planning to continue with this thought process so that I don't find myself overstocked in the stuff.

    Sorry for waffling

Welcome to the challenge JaneLiz, you have been added to the list at the start:D

I haven't been on here in a while as I have been bad:o and too ashamed to come on. I have been in Superdrug:eek: (avoiding Boots is all very well but I should avoid all chemists:o  ) and they had 342 on Maybelline, GOSH and a free Barry M eye pencil when you bought 2 products. Needless to say I took advantage of all these offers:o

I think the deprivation finally got to me and I had a blow out. I feel quite bad about it but I love my new stuff:o Cold turkey maybe isn't such a good idea for me. I am still really good on the skin and hair care stuff:A I find that so much easier. I really don't need any more make up though and I still want to actually finish a make up item so that I can have the great feeling of binning it because it's used and not because it has gone "off":o

Well done to everyone who has stayed strong:beer: I'm so jealous:o

Hey Magni, it's good to see you back and in charge.:T

Don't worry about being bad, you let everybody else off so I'm sure we can do the same for you, just don't desert us.:D

Chemists are bad, I should know, I used to work in one hence the amount of ibuprofen and paracetamol that I had at the start of the challenge, and the fact that I didn't think there was anything odd in counting them, but looking back it may have seemed strange to some people that I'd done that. But hey oh.:rotfl:
