Happy New Year, here is to a great 2009 and a great new challenge.

Hi guys, i am back in again please. I wil continue my previous challenge which i did successfully and that is not to buy any chocolate for 100 days.

Also to buy no beauty products for 100 days. Did this one unofficially last time and have used up loads, finished a perfume and a body lotion yesterday.

An unofficial one i am going to do, is see how many days i can do without throwing any food out. I have done loads of this over Christmas, due to letting food go off and i think i could save a lot of money if i could keep a real eye on this. Putting it in here means i will focus on it for the 100 days.

  • Got a flyer through the door today from Lidl. Potted bulbs for 57p. 'What a bargain' I think to myself 'Must pop and get some of those next week' Then I remembered signing up for this......no plants for 100 days....so it's saving me cash already.

I'm going to join this challenge so that it hopefully gives me some direction.

I pledge to not purchase the following items until after 10th April 2009.

    1) No toiletries (except stuff for teeth and bars of soap).
    2) No cosmetics and perfumes.
    3) No magazines and books.
    4) No CDs and DVDs.
    5) No clothes and shoes.

Reading through everybody's lists it's amazing how many have said "no" to toiletries because they already have so many, I thought it was just me!!!

    Good luck to everybody.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR.
  • Hmm have been thinking carefully about this one.
From yesterday I will not buy myself chocolate!
Is not the same as not eating it :rotfl:
And I can buy for people as presents and receive chocolate :D

By my calculations we should finish about Easter?

Well day two and i am continuing using up old beauty products. Have used three old products today and my cleanser and moisturiser are already going down.

I threw away no food yesterday and for lunch today i have had an extra meal made yestereday from our roast dinner left overs. Plus two little chocolate cups that we had last night and needed eating day or they would have gone off. So am rather pleased as i have already started saving money there!
