I've been giving it some thought and decided to go for broke and do all my worst excesses, so:

Clothes, DVDs, CDs and any food or drink from the extortionate uni canteen!

    Good Luck Everyone!

I'd like to join too please?

No chocolate and no toiletries (I hit the sales this week with the last one). I've been invited to a posh place with work at end of March so no chocolate for me either.

I think I joined the old thread but really want to join this one instead as I won't start my 100 day challenge until 5 January when I'm back to work.

So my challenge is not to spend any money on lunch/snacks/drinks (or anything else actually) when I'm at work.

    Should save me a fortune as before Christmas I was averaging £3 a day - £15 a week - £60 a month:eek:

    Ok I'm in -
    • No coffees on my way into work
    • No bought lunches (unless they are mystery shopping ones that I can reclaim)
This on its own should stop me going to the cash machine which is where I really need to make an effort - taking £10 out for lunch which costs £2.50, and then before I know it the other £7.50 has gone too!

    good luck everyone x

  • I am back in - weirdly am looking forward to it, my items are...

    1) crisps and other snacks that are a bit crisp like
    2) toiletries, cosmetics etc
    3) crap for the kitchen
    4) magazines
    5) clothes (ETA: and shoes and bags and all accessories)

The only exceptions to this are the things that I really need to replace that I was hoping to buy before tomorrow but have been ill :(

The things I will buy are: foundation, concealer, powder, mascara (and also some face wash when I go to America in February - but only because you can't buy it over here and it is very cheap)

Most of those (except the stuff from America) will be with vouchers that I got when I left my last job, I also have some that I can use for clothes so I won't count anything I buy with those as they are basically free money.

I'll join this one. (Can't seem to get my signature to work btw... grrr!)

As from tomorrow I'm giving up

    1) Magazines
    2) Chocolate (except the leftovers)
    3) Peanuts and nibbly things (except the leftovers)

Just a thought... this is totally seperate from my partner's spending (he's generally in control!) If he buys them, can I eat them? After all, it would be rude not to...

  • Hi all,

I started my challenge on Christmas Eve as I couldn't wait :rotfl:I'm not buying any cosmetics or toiletries - still have loads stockpiled. I'm also giving up chocolate - even if it's free! Not a piece of chocolate will pass my lips until after 10 th April . I see I'm not the only one stopping with the choccy - let me know how you get on. I've got nocravings so far. Good luck everyone!
