Do the ladies who are size zero buy their bras in the childrens section at places like BHS??

If size 10 is 34"... its logical that Size 8 is 32"....Size 6 is 30"...Size 4 is 28" Size 2 is 26" ...and Size Zero is 24"...or am I being daft???

These incredibly thin ladies must buy their undies somewhere ...they all very very thin but all seem to have huge b**bs!

The best way to register your displeasure is to use purse power and shop elsewhere! The sexualisation of young children is morally reprehensile but as previous post show...some parents will choose to buy such trash.

Size 0 is American, the UK equivalent is size 4. I am a UK size 6 and wear a 30/32A I would never consider looking in the childs section as I don't want to look like a child, I look for a sexy gel filled adult bra.

Thank you for the info Princess! :o
I am ignorant of the nice-ities of modern lingerie....I grew up in the 50's when me and all my contemporaries all worn a nice thick vest plus a liberty bodice topped off with a full length petticoat underneath our clothes..we graduated into a nice conical stitched bra in our teens instead of the liberty bodice ...but had to wait to we left home before we could shed the vest!
Like Brightlight, we all worn the suspender belts and wooly stockings in winter..and ankle socks in summer up to being in mid teens

Why are the doing this, who can we complain to and why the general shortage of unpadded bras all the ones I can find look like they are from the stone age

Has anyone, other than the original poster, actually seen these items of lingerie and confirmed that they are being designed for and marketed towards seven year old girls?

I mean. people are getting all Daily Mail and preparing burning torches and pitchforks and hunting down paediatricians, but only one person says she's actually seen them, as far as I can tell from reading this amusing thread.

Not logged in here for ages- but I had to for this one!

The sexualising of children is utterly disgraceful. Two or three years ago I was in Tesco- and found fishnets for 7/8 year olds. You would expect BHS to have some sense of social responsibility.

This year, I've seen Disney branded hair straighteners- what next? Dora the Explorer epilators? Year on year, it gets worse. Going out on a limb here and expecting to get shot down in flames...but...we're bringing up "The Bratz Generation." I refer to them as "aspire to look like a street hooker" dolls. And what's worse- there are "baby Bratz" aimed at even younger children.

And no- I'm not Mary Whitehouse junior- trust me ;) I'm a young mother of four girls who saw the thin end of the wedge a while ago.

Thank god the bratz are now disappearing cause they guy sold the rights :T

Still unfortunatly there is a lot of other stuff that is aimed at children way too young, i think children should not be brought up with this sort of stuff esp bras for 7 year olds
  • O dear,I do like the bratz dolls, never had a problem with them....I remember years ago the barbie or sindy changed because it wasnt seen as a true definition of a woman,ie big chested, blond hair, size zero....mmmmmm a lot of women I know look like this now...LOL
    :hello:Time2start a new year diet for a new me:j

i am in my 50s now and I can remember going to school wearing stockings and suspenders when I was 10 years old ,mind you they were wooly stockings and the suspender belt was in a nice surgical pink color.
They were never like that when I went to school

I knew somewhere along the line I missed my youth :rotfl:

I am 57 years old, I think very trendy and up to date BUT no way will I buy any of my grand-daughters any clothing that I think is inappropriate for their ages 7 and 14. Especially after the 14 yr old told me she will not be having sex until she is 18!!!!!!!!!

  • Hearing this appalled me, however, when I sat and thought about it I realised that it really isn't surprising with the way society is today. The fact that BHS are apparently cashing in on it, was a little shocking though, especially when they are seen as relatively respectable. Ethics in todays world seems to be just a word.
I was recently fitted for correctly sized bra by Karen, the bra lady in Bromsgrove, her company believe that it's all about a lack of education. Their company ethos is caring, sharing and educating, and she promotes education to young girls regarding correct breast care, and the consequences of having an ill fitting bra especially just to fit it with peers.
