I've just started to go through my wardrobes in an attempt to declutter. I haven't got rid of loads but i am getting there. I have a huge bag of clothes to 'lose weight into' and I have just added my winter clothes to it. If I don't fit into the old clothes by the time I pull out the winter clothes they ARE going to the charity shop!

Still no spends on clothes but I now have a wardrobe where I can see alot more of my wearable clothes!

Now - onto that health eating plan!

I have £50 to go, so I counted it as 6 months from the end of June
    (J, F,M,A,M,June)
and then 6 very l-o-n-g months to the end of the year (July,A,S,O,N,D)

There is something scary about breaking into the 'last £50':o)

    How's everyone doing?

I am fine and haven't spent anything on clothes for ages :D Felt a bit tempted when the sun was out. Staying away from the clothes shops helps

Not sure when I'll buy anything else as yet. Make do it is, then might mend too :D

    Well done Fedupski!
I've been pretty rubbish and have bought a few things I don't need - what is it with me and bloomin' cardigans??!
Have tried to always buy stuff that's in the sale though so at least I feel I'm getting a bargain.

    Hi,

Just wondering how everyone feels about exchanging clothes you're given as gifts? I was given a nice jumper as a present, but it really wasn't me. Have returned it and taken a credit note as there wasn't anything in the shop that I like or need at the moment.

It doesn't make sense to keep something that you feel just isn't you and you'll never wear - such a waste.

But why do I feel so guilty about taking it back??

    xx

I know the feeling - I used to feel very ungrateful when this happened.

A real friend/ loving relative won't worry if the item is unsuitable, they just want you to have something nice :).

I got over my guilt when I realised that 'Somebody' regularly gave me clothes that were far too small, very old fashioned or crackingly polyester (ouch), then joked about my size/age/'fussiness'.

    Hi everyone

Been keeping tabs with what everyones been up to, but haven't had time to post as such for a while. Can't believe its nearly 6months into the challenge already. Went to a little end of line shop near me and got an M&S skirt that should have been £15 but was £4 and two Rogers and Rogers tops (which I think you get in Matalan) that should have been £8 each but were £2 each, so two tops and a skirt for £8 how fab. Was well chuffed. So far this year have only spent £31 in total. I thought it was going to be hard cos I don't have a big wardrobe of clothes as it is, but I have tried really hard and embraced living with less, in terms of 'things' and clothes and am getting in to it okay.

Glad to see nearly everyone has kept up. Here's to next month.

    xxx
I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.

I have at long last started to clear my wardrobe out (thanks to another thread for spurring me on to do this and sort out what I will wear).

Tackled the dresses first, had no idea I had so many, half have gone into the get rid pile. Hoping to sell on ebay and then go money neutral to buy what I need eg tops/nice jeans. Or even nothing a get more use out what I already have!

Tackle the rest tomorrow and clear some room and get shut of the things that I will never wear again. Need to be ruthless and not sentimental.

Where is lovely Lula by the way, anyone seen her about?
