Well, I braved the annual 'get the summer clothes out' traditition on May1st ... only 2 tops fit :mad::(
I have so many items that I love & used to feel comfortable in but now I just feel grossso have punished myself by putting all the clothes that dont fit into my wardrobe & the horrible cltohes that do fit & that I dont like are now on a hanging rail so I have to look at them each time I go in my room.
I'm really really ashamed at my own laziness & lack of willpower, it's now May & if I had just kept up with the simple taks of reducing my food & doing exercise I could have lost all 20lbs by now
Now on a mission ....
yes is it congratulations, thanksgoing to try and shop as cheap as possible, as i will only really need trousers/jeans im sure i will only need a few pairs to keep me going, im sure my tops will stretch over the bump

Well done on the babies everyone :j
Long time since i've been on here, kind of on the printy thread and mag thread lately, i dont seem to have enough hours to keep up with everything
I bought trousers yesterday for £3.00.
I also found a sale rack in Asda, and saw the tags, £7.50 down to £3.50, also a £1.50 item, got all excited at the price, till i saw it was a skirt, and i don't `do` skirts
Trousers are too long for me, but everything usually is, will take them up
Good luck again to everyone having/ expecting babies :A0 -
According to a trashy magazine I read, we are "recessionistas"

Yay to you SparklyGemster :j
gratefulforhelp - Yay us for having a title ; 'recessionistas' mmm I like
Whether you count work clothes or not is entirely up to youHave always left that open as I dont need a work wardrobe & I certainly wouldnt count postage any more than I would count fuel & parking on a shopping trip - at the very idea :rotfl:
Happy New Clothes moneysavingmonkey :j.
I might be bit behind with the totals on the front page, so apologies if I've not deducted any purchases & I'm sure you'll all be begging me to adjust accordingly :rotfl:
I'm about to embark on the special K challenge any day now ... once I've evicted those naughty penguins that are hiding in my kitchen cupboard ...0 -
Just had a major shopping spree, well major for me,and have gone way over my £100 total now.If I dont count jackets though I am not too much over(I really needed a raincoat, maybe just not such an expensive one)?
Today I HAD to go shoe shopping. The ones I had on were my last pair of comfy flatties and were talking to me.I bought a fantastically comfy pair of Kangaroos which are black and very officey but with a bright pink lining,£40.
Then after 2 hours of hunting for shoes I couldn,t stop.I got 3 cheapy tops in M&S @ £9.50 each,a pair of black velvety cords in BHS sale for £10 and a fabulous mid mid calf length skirt in BRIGHT FUSCHIA for £11.Made up for it a little by buying a perfect black pinstripe skirt in a charity shop for £2.Oh and the high heals in BHS sale too for £15.Nearly forgot the new handbag for £15 also.
OMG,I am bad."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
I'm having a clearout at the moment and found £50 of M&S vouchers! Have just been to have a look and bought 2 shirts for nearly £30. I may take one back. It was so nice to shop for clothes and it's nice to know it isn't going to be added to my total! There are benefits to hoarding!
