Hello everyone!!!!!
Well I am shocked with myself!! This thread is doing me the world of good, I actually have not spent a penny of my own money yet on clothes which normally pay day comes and i am out there spend spend spend!!!!
I will admit to buying 2 tops from New look but i spent a £10 gift card on that so technically i havent spent any of my own money!!!
Is this right???
Anyway even if it does count, £90 left.... still really good for me!!
I hope you are all ok and refraining from buying just for the sake of it!!! Be strong for the thread!!!!
Speak soon! :T:rotfl::T0 -

Hello, haven't posted on this thread for a while, not since I found out on 21st April that my DH was being made redundant, well, I can tell you that snapped me out of this obsessive spending habit I have developed. I've barely spent anything since (apart from food and kids activities that I can't get out of paying).
I'd ordered 2 tops (cost £10) and some controlling underwear (£19) the day before his redundancy (the redundancy was completely out of the blue, by the way) and when they arrived I didn't even bother trying them on, I just sent them back.
Anyway I should be able to have lots of new things....well, not new but things I haven't worn for a long time due to piling the weight on. I've now lost just short of 19lbs, which has made me drop from a 16/18 (lets call it a size 17) to a size 16, and today I was tidying the wardrobe out and noticed that there was a pair of black jeans tucked away at the bottom. I pulled them out and discovered they were a pair that a friend gave me last year (Tesco 14, skinny fit) that I never fit into, and they fit me perfectly, so it's like I've got a new pair. I never imagined I would be fitting into skinny fit jeans this early on. Although I know deep down Tesco are a really generous fit so they'd probably be a small 16 anywhere else but hey - who cares, they are a 14!
So another 10lbs or so, and I think I will be able to fit into loads of my old size 14 stuff, and I have loads of size 12s lurking in suitcases too. Maybe by the end of the year I'll be in them?Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
Spent today sorting out summer clothes - ironing, sewing back buttons, a bit of mending & shortening a long skirt.

I shall be on the look out for a coffee or dusty pink t-shirt to go with my skirt, and my neutral coloured trousers died in storage (Dewhirst seconds here I come!) but otherwise I am sorted :j:j:jI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Can do transfers, done couple for dd, (freebies from Hannah Montana, used Asda value tshirts) they went ok xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I'm on the verge of a spend. My bras are all packing up at the same time
- one nearly took the washing machine out when the wire came out of it in the drum.
Trouble is where do I go, I'm the sort that needs a fair bit of scaffolding underneath her clothes :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
