You may read the Sun I prefer a paper where one does not have to rely on pictures. Try reading a more intellectual newspaper and you learn about the Government looking at privatising parts of the system.
I do not understand how you can say use a dictionary and that there is no difference between private and public ownership. Try and learn the difference. Your point about the banks makes one of my points all the more credible where I said that privatisation is about profit no matter who gets hurt. The bankers at the top have not been hurt. Would you not like a nice pension of over £700,000 a year for failure.
I think that no matter what anyone says to you, you will not listen as you feel that yours is the only opinion that counts.

I completely agree, the whole reason the country got into this mess is because the banks are unregulated, proof of the greed of private firms (and banks) is when barclays rejected money from the government and sought out private funding because if they had taken the money from the government one of the conditions was that there would be no bonuses for the year!

  • If you google "DWP Job Search Broker" it comes up with an article about New Deal for Disabled People. I don't know if this helps at all. Good Luck anyway and all the best. :D

thanks very much for that, will have a look now :D

That will be an AO post :D, whereabouts is it based? Not heard of that job role, it could be telephony based where customers ring up and you do a jobsearch for them and give them info about vacancies you find, its called jobseeker Direct (or it was - its so easy to lose touch with these initiatives!)

Hi there, its based in the Peterlee JCP, they did say something about a lot of it being telephone based but just wasnt too sure what it would entail but all shall be revealed tomorrow :D

ive recently asked to be reinstated at JCP+ as an EO after leaving earlier this year, does anyone know how longs this takes and what the procedures are?
  • Hi Natomar,

I got a reply from the link today. I am joint 66th with 8 others. We are hundred on the waiting list. I doubt if they have started posting people on the list as she said something about a review which should be completed by November ending.

I am still waiting sha!!! And looking for other areas where they are vacancies.

    Thanks
  • Notice that there are EO positions advertised today on the DWP website for my area (Dundee). Don't know whether to apply or not. Don't really think I am clever enough for that grade - I am only 24 on the merit list for the AO position.

Go for it! You've got nothing to lose and if you're already on the merit list for another job, then you've done something right :o

Clever is relative - you have already passed the testing and the competency interview, therefore you have an immediate advantage as you know what questions to expect. I say go for it.
  • Actually, I did have an interview for EO position in Dundee away back in July and I couldn't attend as it was the day of my husband's funeral. I think that the long wait for the AO position (June to date) has undermined my confidence, which is RIDICULOUS at my age! Will apply anyway - nothing ventured, nothing gained, eh?
