DWP employment waiting list

Hi,
Does anyone have an update on IRC 61737 for Glasgow?0 -
Hmmm ... was doing online test for HEO earlier and the phone rang. Ignored it as was on a time limit for the test (only finished with 12 seconds to spare in the end!). Whoever it was didn't leave a message...
Chances are it wasn't the DWP ... we get kinda frequent calls for a previous user of our number. As well as a couple of illegal marketing calls in the last couple of days (number is registered with TPS).0 -

I GOT THE JOB!!!!! and start on Monday, we can have a xmas and i can now get excited.
I just wanted to thankyou each and every1 of you for all ur kind words, best wishes and the laughs u have given me, these things have really kept me going, I am still hoping the DWP will phone (u dont get rid of me that easy) but if they do i will have a tough decision to make, but for all those others waiting, good luck keep strong and support each other as sometimes all people need are kind words or a bit of help to make them feel worthy again.

HELLO ALL.
Well...after 2 previously failed attempts...I finally managed to get through to the assessment centre stage...i have my interview next week in a hotel for an Administrative Officer position. Needless to say, like millions of others out of work, I desperately need this job so, would just like to clarify a few things.
firstly, what exactly will they be quizzing me on should i pass the tests..they have said I'll have my interview the same day. Will they ask me the same questions i have to answer on my original application form?- is that what they'll be looking over?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. thanks.0 -

Anyway, update time!! Ahem ahem!
Today we was mostly learning about stuff we don't even need to know! Amazing! We had another group with us today who were a mixture of AO's and EO's, basically because most of us haven't go our employee numbers or smart cards yet (which you need to get you onto the computer systems), so we all have to share with the lucky people in the other group who have. So yeah, we learned about the role the EO's will be doing. Not sure if it was actually quite a bad idea doing that, as all the info i learnt yesterday and today are getting muddled up in my brain now (not that it is hard with my brain)
Anyway, there is SO much info to learn it is crazy. It is so tiring just sitting there and listening, never mind actually doing it! I think by the time i will get to actually do my job role, my brain will have burnt out and i will just sit slumped drooling over the desk at the people coming to sign on!
Anyway, after learning what the EO's are doing (might as well do the EO role now, since i've kinda been trained in it ) we had a talk on drugs and how to spot a user (needle hanging out of their arm etc...naaaah, just joking) and what to do if someone does have a drug abuse problem (refer them to a drugs rehabilitation centre). Twas actually quite interesting. You are not allowed to ask people directly if they take drugs, but you are okay to hint about it until they admit it!
After that we had another talk...this time on the Union and if we wanted to join (first 6 months free). The man mumbled through the whole talk and i didn't hear a thing. But signed up for it anyway.
After that we aired some concerns with our trainer and then he let us [STRIKE]escape[/STRIKE] go home
So yeah, i'm tired and now have to go and cook the dinner. Ciao!
What are the main duties of the EO role compared to AO?0 -

I don't have any more information other than the above unfortunately, but good luck to all those still waiting and congratulations to those of you who are starting shortly.0 -
Hi everyone, I'm new to posting but have spent a lot of time reading thread. Thanks for all the updates but i just wanted to add my timeline as i got the 'Call' today!!
I applied for IRC 61298 AO Role
25th July: Lit/Num tests
11th Aug: Interview
28th Aug: Success Letter (no mention of waiting list)
5th Sept: CRB received through post (dwp complimentary slip included)
13th Oct: The Call! Start date Oct 26th, 18 month Fixed Term
I actually had my interview for the IRC 62668 EO role today (Maybe this is linked!!) I asked in my interview and the lady that confirmed my start date that if I do get this EO role i will be able to move to the higher band C. Is this true? Should i get a confirmation email?
Also she said that i would have to discuss my hours on the first day of work, is it wrong to ask not to work on Saturdays as i play rugby? Can i just ask for 9-5?
Thanks again!!0 -
