LOL - the DWP dont realise the consequence of all this delay!

Hopefully next week will be a good one for South Yorks! ;) (i'll keep everything crossed)

Also Mandie, ask your lone parent worker, they have access to give you an ADF - which is a 'Advisor Discretionary Fund' which pays the first 2 weeks childcare (it is paid IF the nursery require upfront payment of fee's.

Dont forget the council tax paid for the first month too ;)

Oh thanks Deejay i didnt know that existed but i'll definately mention it tomorrow as i have an appointment at the jobcentre with my lone parent advisor to discuss what i do now lol. That would be great benefit to me as the childcare centre i'll be using require payment upfront of either 1 weeks or 2 (im not 100% sure but will find out tomorrow) and i worried about how i would find that kind of money upfront. Altho child tax will pay 80% of my childcare i wont get that in time to pay upfront.
  • i know im like a bad smell u cant get rid of lol

    without checking i think
    21st June was application
    25th june online asst
    13 july interview
    10 august was success letter
middle of august got CRB and was told checks were cleared, infact mine was 1 of the 1st to be cleared, watch me be the last one to be offered a job lol

LOL, your a very good smell that we actually dont want to get rid of! But i do want to see you post saying youve had the call!! Good luck xxxxx

I wish that you just had some kinda guarantee that there is gonna be a job out of it. I've got an interview on monday for an insurance company but obviously want the job centre one. Thus i'm in a dilemma because if I do get the job then I must let them know that I will leave if I get the job centre job as its only fair to them, and will make me look bad if i up and leave in a couple of weeks. BUT, what if there isn't a job waiting for me at the jobcentre? I wouldn't want them to know that I could be leaving as I might not be......DAMN YOU!!!

Id be tempted not to mention it to any other employer, using the excuse in future that you didnt know you had a guaranteed job until you got the call. Lets face it, you'll not have been using them as reference anyway and fingers crossed once your in with DWP, you wont be going anywhere else for some time (altho they say 18 month contract, ive been told by many that once your in, your in....unless u do a really bad job lol)

Might sound a bit of a bad way to go about it, but youve got to think of yourself first, and if this waiting game in hindering your chances at other jobs, id fail to mention it lol
