I received my Disclosure Scotland for 61298 on the 7th Sept. A few days a go I received a call from the North and North East London District offering me a couple of locations. I said I was interested in locations in the Central London and City and East London Districts. They said they will be in contact by the end of this week. I'm not sure why my file was passed onto the North and North East London District.

At least two people have been posted already from this IRC. My understanding is that they were located in the West and South London Districts.

Thanks thunderb0lt....sure it does help...it seems this irc is not affected by the freeze then.....i called them today but the guy was not too helpful as he said he can not say anything now till after oct...am really expectant.

Well it just seems that everything is inconsistient. I am correct in saying that you are the person who used the scattergun approach in that you applied to IRCs left, right and centre. How was this worked out for you, have you been successful with your other interviews.

yeah u r right...but i have ignored all the seven invitations for outside london region due to the fact that i have a perm support worker job in london....this (61298) was my first and only interview in the london area...i was also called for the last eo test but my lit score dennied me an interview....my plan is to stick to my job and if dwp comes up i will def ask my line manager for a wkend shift...lets just hope i dont have to work on sats for dwp..thanks for the updates..it feels good to have someone in d same ircs expecting the ''call''

Not sure if this applies to all areas offering full tiem positions but when i got the call i was told that it was strictly mon-fri 9-5. She said that altho it is advertised possible 8-8 and 8-1 saturdays if required, this hasnt happened anywhere yet, although it might in the future.

hi, is there anyone waiting for "the call" for 61492 south staffs west midlands. I understand that its being held up by the recruitment freeze, but any further info would be appreciated.

on the subject of training, i am having 4 weeks. maybe they know im a bit slow these days. all areas must do it differently.

Pretty shocked that they actually let the phone ring out for 3 minutes plus. And then some picks it up and puts it straight back down again.

I have to sign-on at 2pm today does anyone have any advice/questions I could ask them in the Job Centre about my "job"?

I got my congrats letter on 26th August for IRC61979 (derby, admin assistant) and there's no mention in the letter about a waiting list etc...

HELP! Hate going to sign-on and looking like I haven't bothered! x
