DWP employment waiting list

Mandie and Dezzie - thank you so much for the well wishes, very kind of you both!
I didn't think it would be "THE CALL", as it is a little too soon, I just couldn't help but get my hopes up. Even if it is regarding the checks, it's still good news and it's one step closer to getting the job and it means the ball is rolling :j
Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks again.0 -

I wish that you just had some kinda guarantee that there is gonna be a job out of it. I've got an interview on monday for an insurance company but obviously want the job centre one. Thus i'm in a dilemma because if I do get the job then I must let them know that I will leave if I get the job centre job as its only fair to them, and will make me look bad if i up and leave in a couple of weeks. BUT, what if there isn't a job waiting for me at the jobcentre? I wouldn't want them to know that I could be leaving as I might not be......DAMN YOU!!!
Aww, f.dennis, it must be hard wondering what decision to make for the best. I wish you the best of luck in your interview on Monday. If your successful, I personally would accept the position, as you dont know how long you could be waiting for the the DWP job, also you dont want to be unemployed for xmas (doubt it will take that long, but you never know??). Like someone has previously said, usually you only have to give a weeks notice if you haven't worked for a company for long. I have had 6 weeks notice before my start date (2nd Nov) so if you are given similar notice, you can obviously give your current employer a decent notice period.
Good luck.0 -

Counterfeit - I have been down to my local JCP today to speak with my advisor and have been told that the 4 days training in Hudds is just an induction into JCP policies and procedures etc, and EO's actually receive 13 weeks training!!! I was so relieved to hear this... so I thought i'd share
13 WEEKS - My contract will be over before I'm let loose on the public0 -
