DWP employment waiting list

  • Have to say i agree with Rich. Its fair enough to share info on here but someone working for the DWP should not be divulging information, or snippets of information. Its more than there jobs worth to be caught out doing that, which leads me to be curious of the truth in it.

Anything that we need to know should be delivered to us by the person dealing with our IRC and the guy i spoke to laughed down the phone and told me not to worry. Im sorry but if he doesnt know whats going on, either should we until something official has been voiced to us. Because rather than "help" whats actually been caused is people stressing out, and until we know EXACTLY whats going on, im pretty sure none of us need the added stress!!!

As for people saying its better to know so u can look for other jobs, i know myself, even tho i got a success letter i am still looking for other jobs as well. We all knew there would be a wait. It doesnt take this kind of info for us to be aware of the fact that we could get another job quicker or easier :)

There are people who in the last few days have had "the call". If as stated sammy has known this info for some time, surely these people wouldnt have recieved a start date within the last few days.

Its just all a bit too suspicious at the minute and if im proven wrong then fair enough, sorry! But i still dont feel it should have been addressed the way it was.

I've only told what I (in my professional) opinion felt was applicable.

You don't know me, you don't know what I do.

Why would I make it up?

I'm not sure why you post on a forum which is all about giving people information to others and trying to help.

I hope for all your sakes that it comes to nothing.

I think I'll bow out now. No doubt I'll now be accused of dumping the bad news and running!

You never started the rumours so your not at fault there. And I really don't want to have a go at you but in my opinion you have made a rod for your own back simply because of the position you hold within the DWP.

I'm certainly not saying your making it up and it may all be true but why say anything ? Why didn't you wait till it was announced properly and officially where ALL the facts are explained ?

Why is that so hard to understand ?
  • Just want to make it clear also....im not havign a go at you Sammy....im simply stating my feelings on the way the situation has been handled. You didnt start this, but as an employee with the DWP you gave information which in my opinion you shouldnt have until you could either give the full details, or until it was official. By no means is this a personal attack on you, i have no problem with you. Im just a bit miffed at whats all being said on here when we have no hard evidence or even a full version of events from you to back up any claims!

right im off for dinner, after all this i cant be bothered cooking! chinese anyone?? lol

In all fairness to sammy, I posted about this first after hearing about it directly from a DWP employee. I posted what they told me, nothing more, nothing less. Make up your own minds and don't shoot the messenger guys.

I thought people had a right to hear what I was told, since some people are not looking for work and relying on their DWP jobs coming through.
