Yesterday we did some exercises to help get to know each other, and then got a general overview of what the course will cover. I have to say, everyone in the group is friendly and really nice, so we've all been getting along really well. Our trainer is very friendly and approachable too, so I'm enjoying the the course so far.

Hope you hear something soon, so you can shout and let us all know the good news... Good luck!!! :T

Ohhhhh glad you are enjoying it!! Sounds better than i thought, i am pleased to say!! Was worried they would just chuck you in the deep end!! I don't think i would have coped very well with that!! Getting to know everyone sounds good...i can be a bit shy at first...but soon come out of my shell...perhaps a little too much, but ahh well

Sounds pretty good, let's hope that friendly environment lasts though.

As for waiting for "the call", I don't understand. Don't they call you on your mobile? Without that I might have been homebound for months too!

You find out if you passed the interview by letter, the `call` is when you have been given a post, they ring to confirm office location and start date.

I had my interview with Capita and was told at interview I would hear within 2 weeks, it was infact 5! I did email them after 2 weeks and was told it would be more like 4-5 weeks.

I agree, I was a little dissapointed that it was all Manpower Staff at the Assessment Centre in Plymouth. I am glad the interview is finally done & dusted... it's been a pressured week at work, and trying revise for the interview with DWP hasn't been easy! So now we are at the next stage of waiting to hear something back from DWP, I hope it won't take too long, as we had to fill in all the forms yesterday before going into the Interview. Hopefully that should speed the process up. Good luck to everyone at Plymouth!

does anyone have any idea how you get in touch with the " bussiness centre ". am feeling really down today and need to find out what is going on. thanks.

Hi Maisette,
I know the wait is awful but the call will happen soon...seems there are a lot of calls going out at moment, what IRC is it.
Trouble is there isn't onw business centre really as your details are sent out to all the job centres on your list and it is then a case of who has vacancies and gets back to you the quickest.
Edge hill rang me and offered me IRC61099 on Monday and guy did mention other JCP's on my list but he was simply first in touch with an offer.
As long as you've been told all your checks are done and details sent it really is just a waiting game...It will happen....

I'm starting training at Toxteth next week and know its where you are, at the mo...what is parking like there? and what are people wearing...is it just casual smart...pants/skirt and shirt/blouse/jumper etc???

Looking forward to it and then I'm based at Edge Hill, where are you going to be based?
