I had my interview on 17th August and have yet to receive a letter of success or rejection, but will update when i do.
Does anyone know how long this should take? I was worried because the e-mail account i gave them was closed down a week ago, but as they seem to contact you in writing then i'm no longer stressing about missed e-mails.
Tis okay, can take a while....they send a letter, not an email. If it takes too long than ring them up and ask about it."You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -

Hi everyone
I have asked before, so sorry to bore many of you with the same question again.
Had the IRC 60076 interview at Baskerville House, Birmingham on the 23d June, received a successful letter on 24th July, albeit a 12 month waitng list.
Just haven`t heard anything since, just wondering if any of you guys who attended that interview, i believe there were loads and loads of us, had heard anything or had in indeed started.
Thank you very much again0 -

Hey, when did you receive the CRB for 61298. I haven't received mine yet even though I got my success letter for 61298 before you.
Btw, what location did you have your interview.
Don't worry about your references not being contacted because if they will not contact them if they receive all the required info from HMRC (read above posts).0 -
Ooooh, 19th Oct would be ideal for me! (enough time to have a couple of weeks visiting my mum in Spain
) Great stuff that you've got a date, did they say why it had changed from the 28th Sept?
It's my wife's fault (allegedly) for not answering her mobile. By the time DWP got in touch with my wife they had enough starters for 28 Sept so put us back. GRRR. Slightly better news though is that in order to accommodate both of us we are now being posted to Hunslet not Leeds City Centre. Hunslet is about a mile further away (so 3 miles from home) but there is free, yes FREE, parking which will save us about £20 per week or £1000 per year. Now that's a lot of money.0 -

At last!!! I got "the call" today ... hooray!!!
My timeline for this recruitment exercise is as follows:
7/6/09 - Application sent
25/6/09 - Online Assessment completed
13/7/09 - Interview at Allesley Hill Hotel, Coventry (and yes, it was in one of the bedrooms!)
16/7/09 - Successful letter received advising pre-recruitment checks being undertaken (no mention of a waiting list)
5/8/09 - Basic Disclosure received (forwarded from DWP)
14/8/09 - All checks completed and file passed to Vacancy Holder
I found out by telephoning Newcastle on 24 August 2009 that my file had been passed to the Vacancy Holder and that I was on a merit list of over 60 people. No personal references were taken as they were able to check all of my details with HMRC. I contacted them again on 4 September and was told that no offers had been made to date from the merit list.
My start date is 19 October 2009 and I'm being located to my 1st choice office so that's almost 4 months to complete the end-to-end process.
At times I thought that I'd never get to the end of this process but this thread has been an invaluable source of information and encouragement - thank you.
Good luck to all of you who are still waiting ... there is light at the end of the tunnel - just not sure how long some of these tunnels are!!0 -
Well done akabong!!! Must be a great relief to finally know the waiting is over!!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0

Hello Im starting work soon at the jobcentre which is about 5 mins away from leeds train station (park place) As I know you've been wanting to work there I thought you might know how it is there in terms of if it is busy there and if it is a big office.
Sorry for asking you all this its just that I havent seen the jobcentre yet but can't help stop wondering how its going to be like!!counterfeit wrote: »It's my wife's fault (allegedly) for not answering her mobile.
