Start at JCP tommorrow, at last, no late nights as yet I have been told. For all of you still waiting don't give up I have waited 4 months and there are still some who were on the waiting list for my irc that haven't got a date yet, they just keep being told they are now top of the list. The next lot have recently been interviewed so they will be lucky to start before xmas.

When is the 4 months from?
    Application, interview or sucess letter?

[I received a Disclosure Certificate today from DWP in Newcastle relating to a job ref. for which I was interviewed back in May 2009. Can I take this is a good sign that I have been successful, or do they do the checks anyway and send you the Disclosure regardless of whether or not you have been successful?

I did not get a successful letter prior to receiving this disclosure, so obviously I am a bit in the dark here.

    Thanks.

QUOTE=counterfeit;24496219]Well done. We already have our CRB certificates - in fact we got them before our successful letters came.

Not too long to wait then. Actually, you will probably be in the first intake if you want Kirklees as I bet most people will want Leeds and Bradford.[/QUOTE]

I thought that they only sent for the checks if you were successful.

Are you still waiting for a letter from your interview then saying whether or not you had been successful?:

There was a poster on here not long ago who had an unsuccessful letter, and then the CRB certificate, and he had to enquire as to what was going on. Can't remember the outcome, but it was only a couple of weeks ago if you check back.

    fingers crossed for you

Don't know if you will be able to help me with this query or not, but this morning I received my CRB Disclosure Cert, which was posted to me by DWP in Newcastle. It relates to a job interview I had with them back in May 2009 in Liverpool. Had virtually given up hope that I would EVER hear any more about this interview.

So, my question is this: can I take the receipt of this Disclosure Cert as a GOOD sign that I have been successful, or do they just do the checks anyway, even if you have failed the interview?

    Hope you can help.

    Cheers

This morning we got our copies of the Disclosure Scotland forms through. Brilliant news!

Just one thing to note - they are dated 23 July. Our successful letters were dated 10 August. It suggests to me that they knew we had passed long before the letters got sent out.

Anyway, final stage beofre start date should be references I hope. Could soon be there.

Yes, still waiting for interview result letter. That is why I am puzzled as to why I received the CRB today from DWP, as I don't know whether or not I have been successul! Would be really elated if I have!

Haha, if you did really well in your interview than what are you worrying about?! :p

Sometimes it can take quite a while to receive your letter. If you look back at this forum it is full of people frustrated over having no response from the dwp after weeks and weeks! Maybe ring them up and ask if the letters have been sent out yet?

You obviously haven't bothered to read this thread have you. Less than 3 weeks and expects an answer.:rotfl:
  • THANKS its just that you always want to sure you are the only person behind.:A
  • Does anybody have an idea of what happens after the checks have cleared? I had my interview for IRC 60269 (Cambs/Suffolk) in early June, the success letter 20th July and the CRB 8th August. I've finally managed to get through to Newcastle and they told me I'm no.34 of 70 on the merit list but that they had now passed my details on to the 'business unit' and could not help me any further (hands washed!). What or who is the 'business unit' I don't know, but the man on the phone could not or would not give me any more information than that.
I'm so frustrated with the whole process, especially as I turned down a sales job earning £45k a year as I want this job. Im now just leaking money and borrowing on the mortgage!
