A hundred million thank-you's go out to Samr and Majix and everyone that has posted information on this thread. I feel far more comfortable about the whole process now - Going to dust off my maths book and get cracking on percentages !:j:T0

I went for interview in Carlisle on 7th July, I was advised on the 11th that I had been successful pending references, I still have not heard anything! The problem is I work overseas and need to give 6 weeks notice, my boss is asking when I am leaving as they are struggling to find a replacement. I was told in my interview that the start date would be the beginning of September but now I'm really unsure what to do after reading all these posts. I am leaving a very good position overseas to build a life in the UK but dont want to do it without a bit of reassurance from them!! Can anyone give me a contact number as I dont have one and I really want to talk to someone now!0

22 days holiday for EO's in the first year, (25 next year)
Don't forget the flexitime aspect here - you will get quite a few more days than that (or afternoons etc), so our trainer says. What's also not mentioned are that you also get the Queen's Birthday, half-day Maundy Thursday and a "privilege day at Christmas. Can claim expenses if away from own office.
Heh! If you want to try using your own car then good luck! They need to see your insurance and MOT which is fair enough, however they also want to see some horrendous indemnity clause in case someone sues the DWP.Will start on flexi time but contract 8-8 and saturdays. Will give 4 weeks notice of change to these hours.
I've yet to hear a single word about the 8/8 hours (and I'm paying extra special attention for it).You get an induction pack in a Ring binder/folder
You do? This is all indicative of the regional aspects of the way this is being run.0 -

I have been waiting since April too.
It is so frustrating.
Please help i would be grateful for anything else you know.
It was for an AO position in Truro JCP, the training course seems to start every two weeks also in Truro, Truro seems to be the training base for a wide area of recruitment.
Have all your checks been completed? Have you found out your position on the list?0 -
Finally after a year on the rock and roll dole I got the call to start. Applied in March ... interview in April for EO, start on Monday. It's in another district to the one I chose but who cares, especially since its only a 30-40 minute commute.
A few cheeky beers tonight, the relief is fantastic. Good luck everyone waiting and hang in there!0 -
I have been told that i am in on the next intake.
I live in Devon so hoping to get a JCP here.
I am 10th in list for local JCPs and may get offered a different location which means travelling but I need the job. I am on all lists for chosen locations so I am back to waiting. They said possibly hear something in next couple of weeks.0 -

Hi all,
I have recently taken on an AA role but I also applied for an EO role whilst I was waiting for ‘the call’. It has been three weeks since I submitted EO application therefore I would like to chase up the progress of my application. Does anyone know who I should contact? This is for a vacancy in West Yorkshire.
If anyone has any recruitment questions regarding the AA position, I will try to help0 -
Wait about 3-4 months at least after submiting your application.
I got the job after 6+ months of waiting.0
