DWP employment waiting list

I did the online test nearly 2 weeks ago and have not heared anything yet.
Any idea how long it will take to find out if I have passed? or failed.
Thanks
I did an online test for an HEO role on 20th June and have heard back this morning. I have an interview next Wednesday, which means they are keeping to the timeframes detailed on the job spec.“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

Hello, sorry for the late reply. I'm actually starting Monday now which is very quick! Luckily my current employer was expecting my notice so was already prepared.
I had my interview on the 16th of April, Rec'd offer/checks letter about May 3rd then offered the position yesterday! So almost 3 months wait.
Funny thing is the lady on the phone had to check if I was still interested in the position. As if id forgotten about it when in fact I've been waiting for nothing else since my interview!
As far as I was aware I wasn't put onto a waiting list, however it seems that everyone is automatically put on awaiting list.
If you've been waiting a few months then you should hear either way soon. if you've only just applied/interviewed, then id expect at least a 3 month wait.
I'm in the Cumbria district.
Good luck all.0 -

I had to phone the team leader who was dealing with my specific IRC in order for me to receive my feedback, it is a really important thing to have as it has enabled me to view the actual criteria that the interviewers are looking for in the actual interview, it has also enabled me to see where I went wrong in the interview.
I havent applied for any more DWP vacancies as I was always in employment ' but fancied a little change', I may apply again in future though.0 -

p.s.
I wouldn't attempt to tackle another DWP interview until you have received your feedback from your initial interview, this is because the DWP look for specific criteria during interview, and if you failed to mention them in your first interview you could end up not mentioing them in your subsequent interviews, and fail those aswell.0 -
Just had another interview with the job centre for a different role. Well i can tell you it was so badly organised. I had to fill out the forms thre and then eg disclouse etc.
I had a forgein girl who was on her first day taking my details. she made me fill in ALL the spaces on the disclouse form- and would not listen when i told her i did not have the answer!
Also she read my health decleration thing right in front of me and was totally staring at me watching what i wrote for the review i had to fill in!!
Why did you feel the need to emphasize that fact that the person in question was 'foreign'?0 -
I had a chap from Newcastle phone yesterday after I had pestered for a couple of days to tell me that my checks seem to be in order and the usual spiel of " we are waiting fo the business to contact us, blah de bah de blah". having spoken to the local Jobcentre they informed me that they have several people who have been accepted into an EO role and they have heard nothing also. i am relieved that they have now found my CRB after six weeks, but the lack of anything positive from the DWP is as usual life sapping. I am utterly amazed that the ethos of the DWP is so different from actual practice. From an organization that preaches good practice and inclusion for all to treat prospective employees so shabbily is quite honestly, beyond the pale. Never in all of my life have I had to deal with such a shower of sh#t.

Hi JDF
I think they are just overwhelmed with the amount of recruits they are dealing with. Just look at the amount of posters on here that have applied for jobs.
I know it's frustrating - I'm in exactly the same boat as you IRC57875. I got an email on the 25th June asking for a copy of my CRB certificate - which had been sent to my home address (I didn't know it could be sent straight to Newcastle). Since then I have spoken to them and they have told me my checks are in order and it's just a case of waiting for a phone call - more waiting

HI,
Thought I'd update you all on my Bolton / Manc job story.
Took the bull by the horns after plenty of discussion with hubby last night and called Manc to accept 18 month EO position. The lady was lovely, told me she had called Bolton and advised she was offering me this position. Asked if I had formally accepted Bolton, I advised yes I should start Monday - she said well, to safeguard yourself, start on Monday as AO, its permanent contract and tell them you're taking the offered temp placement with us. That way in 18 months time is EO is not made perm you can drop down to AO again as you'll be on system as permenent for this role.
She did say however to be warned that Bolton will not be impressed.
I hate to think I'm messing them about, but Bolton had originally called me before Easter and advised I'd be starting end of April, so I stopped job searching for that month!!!!
Hope it works out okay....
Will update you all on Monday.

Well done Kath
As far as I can see this is a 'win win' situation for you  . Don't worry about what Bolton will say - you won't be there long enough and it's YOU that matters anyway.
Make sure you update us on Monday after your first day.
Glad it's worked out for you after all your initial concerns0
