    You'tr preaching to the converted ;)

    People go on about it not having email scanning. I couldnt GIVE a ****
    Its fast as hell at scanning and superb as an av
    The only downside are those damn popups when it updates (Which CAN be got rid of, but im not risking it)

    As I've said before, if you have good e-mail habits e.g. don't open unknown messages, don't run mystery attachments without scanning them, etc. then the free version of AntiVir is probably all you need to keep your computer free of viruses.

    1. Go to C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avnotify.exe
    2. Right-click avnotify.exe-> properties-> security->
    3. Under the group or username SYSTEM click edit
    4. Put a checkmark under the DENY column for "read and execute"

    Worked for me. :D

    No good for us poor FAT32 users! I've given up looking for a way to be honest for a FAT32, Windows XP Home machine. In some respects it tells me when it's updated as I've turned off the pop-up box every time it updates. Also turned off the spash screen with /nosplash.
