    Hey everyone!!!!

Today is payday so payments have gone out to egg1 and hbos!!!! so very nearly at my target of £4k!!!!!!! still have to make my overpayment to the egg1 card but not sure how much i will be paying off extra. I know i planned it out but seem to be £100 short in my wage so will have to have a rethink!

Am only working wed, sat and sun this week and thurs is a training day so am gonna get my butt into gear and start listing on ebay.........the clutter is really starting to do my nut in. Clutter free house = clutter free mind so someone told me at work yesterday!!!!!

Well me and the fella did the weekly shop on sat and only spent £35 as we were both so hungover and not hungary we stuck to things we needed not what we thought looked nice!!!!! Thinking is the way to get my shopping bill down! ha ha ha!!!!

so glad i will hit my target this month as the next few months will only be able to pay off the amounts i have budgeted for. This month will have to buy the car tax and next month its mot is due and no it will fail so is going to be tight for the next month or so. Not going to feel down about it though, have done ok so far and will just have to try and up my income some other ways. My fella is still yet to be payed his overtime which am hoping will come in time for at least the car tax.

Just need to control our spending, my fella started to leave his bank card at home last week but think i need to gently remind him of that again........................

what is everyone else up to?????

EDIT: completly forgot that i will be paying the mil later today so MY TARGET WILL BE MET TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • Thanks everyone for the kind words on my attempt at a wedding cake!!! it turned out better than i expected. Trying to find cake decorating lessons round here but not having much luck, would love to do it on the sideline for some extra dosh...........

Well so far i have spent the following of my overtime money:
    1. £90 on clothes for the boys (got loads as most was half price in george)
    2. paid extra £50 to hbos cc as forgot all extra was going to egg1

not bad, but thinking of getting the car booked in this month for its mot whilst we have the extra to fix the faults and need to buy the car tax so my big plan of putting loads extra to the egg cc has gone out the window. Saves putting the repairs on the cc next month.

now have got the kiddies all kitted out in new clobber (they so needed new stuff, what a difference pants that fit makes!) i can shift all there old stuff into my ebay pile. Am a little torn as to save ds1's stuff as in good nick for when ds2 gets to that age???? does everyone keep ther eldests stuff for a hand me down in about 4 years time????

right, ds2 getting narky, time for his bottle and bed me thinks............
catch up with your diaries in a bit,
    love rags

  • Personally I would probably keep the nicer things & buy new for some things down the line... 4 years will go quicker than you think so you won't be storing them for too long.

Hope you can get your car sorted hun. xo

The wedding cake looks great! Not sure my sis knows what she wants hers to be like so I'll show her yours and see what she thinks - she's getting married in September :)

Re: the clothes... There's 2.5 years between DD1 (5) and DD2 (3) and I've hoarded clothes since DD1 was born, "just in case" LOL! Thing is they get bought so many that the ones I saved from DD1 being 3 are a bit redundant for DD2 as she has loads - my mum's a bit of a bargain hunter and buys loads from charity shops or picks up sale things and we even have stuff hoarded that DD1's not old enough to wear - hand-me-ups? :D

I'd say keep anything decent - anything hardwearing/a bit special/that might cost a bit new - the latter I find is things like raincoats that you shell out for when new but looked after you can pass them onto the younger kids and you can hardly really tell they've been used.

Btw my OH rarely takes his bank card to work - he works at people's houses and as well as taking his lunch him and the guys usually get plied with tea, coffee and biscuits as well as brekkie sometimes (he starts early and usually gets old dears and housewives offering bacon cobs or a fry up!) so he doesn't really need money luckily - good thing as I suspect he'd be buying takeaway pizza or similar everyday!
