  • Hey everyone, hope your all ok?!

not much to report on the dfw front but.................................

    :TDS2 IS WALKING!!!!!!!!!!!:T

he looks so funny and way too small to be doing it but he is so happy with himself at the moment!!!!

got all my stuff already photo'd the other day ready to list on ebay when ds2 had his afternoon nap, but the little monster wouldnt go to sleep!!!! so still nothing on sale at the mo. think i might get some listed on turbolister tonight ready to upload on sunday.

Have bought a potato and veg bag from a book club at work for a fiver (sell for at least a tenner each at lkd ltd) so hoping this will help my tatties and veg last a little longer. Hoping to do the weekly shop tonight. Lets see if i can keep up spending under £40. Dont need ds2's milk this week so there's a saving of nearly £7 already. Only 2 weeks till he is 1 so can then go on to cows milk saving me a fortune in the long run!!!!!

Just waiting now till the end of the month for the egg2 payment to go out and will update my ticker. and will wait till my car is mot'd till i make an overpayment to the egg1 cc.

Next month i am hoping to have about £150-£200 extra as doing an extra 8 hours to work with a new nurse on my floor. Ooh, might have a little more extra as my childcare bill will go down slightly...................................................then majorly in oct (then i will start paying for my sofa's)

right, off to check your diaries then my online banking.............

  • Hello everyone, hope you have all had a good weekend???

Have been very good on my diet lately, found a thread on the old style board about bento type lunch boxes which got me thinking....................now have several little lock and lock boxes (found in the back of my box cupboard:o) which i put my lunch in "bento" style. It does actually help you control portion sizes and is making me be a little inventive bout what i take. Everyone at work now thinks i have gone mad and are laughing at me as i pull loads of boxes out.

Not much at all going on in the dfw part of life......................kinda ground to a halt really, just trying to control our spending. bit pants seen as i have made big dents lately.....................oh well suppose not adding to debts is better than nothing.

right, am off for a catch up with your diaries and a well deserved brew.....

    Rags,

I never renew my contract. I always get a new contract every time it runs out. Go to mobiles.co.uk or e2save.com or somewhere and get a cashback deal.

The cashback is hassle but if you remember to send the bills in on time its OK. Usually, it works out you get a new phone for free and, with the cashback, it works out at half price for the 12/18 months.

My wife recently got a new nokia slide phone on o2 with 600 mins and unlimited texts. £35 a month but get half of that back in cashback so it works out as £17.50. I got a HTC Touch Diamond PDA phone on Orange with similar (600 texts I think) for the same.

As for your old phone, sell it on ebay or one of the mobile reseller sites.

Oh yeh, if you go to mobiles.co.yuk or e2save via topcashback or quidco you get cashback from them too !!!!!

This is great in theory, but prob wont start fully till november and not including any overtime or paperwork days i might get added on and is also based on a 4 week month for my fella's wage and have guessed a few things like my tax credits, child benefit and my childcare bill once ds1 starts school.
The only time this wont be the case is when its the summer hols and my childcare bill will go back up again..................
