Thanks for that paul, i actually laughed at first as am working in a nursing home at the mo, target audience me thinks!!!!:rotfl:
Dont think i could do it as there is so much that could go wrong, leslie ash for instance. Not sure there is much demand up here for it either..................???? Am actually starting to want to get out of nursing but not quite sure what i would like to do???? need about as much money as nursing pays............ummmmm?
Well have planted my chitted tatties and repotted my blueberry twig in erichous compost (as thats what they like apparently) think i have just moved it in time before it died......... fancy growing some carrots and onions, have got 2 little bags left from my tattie growing kit as they were too small for tatties.:rolleyes:
ds1 is sooooooo ready for school, what a difference in attitude this afternoon after nursery. Like i picked up a different child.............this morning he was like the devil!!!!:mad:December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

I too looked into going into the beauty industry giving botox injections but thought of the litigation when all goes wrong scared me silly. Rags I am a registered nurse and midwife but decided enough was enough and chose a career in fostering which I now love, dont get me wrong I loved my job as a midwife but got sick of all the politics and carp that goes with it, not to say the nights, and long shifts with low staffing levels and carping myself every year the Xmas & New Year off duty was put up! (29 years of it to be precise and I work about 20 of them!!!!) although I had a life changing event happen to me, I think that was my main reason for giving up my career i became a grandmother to 6 gorgeous grandchildren in the space of 5 years....... my lot waste no time in conceiving!! so since changing my career I get to stay at home and see my grandchildren everyday and earn better money than when I was a midwife and I dont miss midwifery one bit!! you could always think about starting a fruit & veg business seen as you have found a new love in growing it.............good luck with your blueberrys BUT a word of warning tho, beware of the kids!!! if they are anything like mine they will pick em and eat em before they get chance to get ripe!!

Hey pixie,
the more i talk to people the more common it seems to be that nurses and midwives are leaving their career............ I actually never wanted to be a nurse, i wanted to be a midwife but nmas pushed my down the nursing route with the option of topping up after (they were trying to increase the nursing numbers at the time) But they are now stopping the topping up course and the way the nhs is at the mo, feel there is no point in training with no guarentees of a job afterwards. and like you say, the workload is stupid.
Glad you are happy now fostering, now that takes some patience...............my friends mum used to do it. Hats off to you.:T
my kids already love blueberries (hence trying to grow my own, how pricey?!) i have to hide them from them or i dont get a look in!!!! ds2 loves them as he can pick them up and feed himself (which he beams ear to ear with pride when he manages it)
12 hour shift tomorrow and i am already filled with hate..............not good. shame cleaning doesnt pay as well as nursing, would love to do that.

Yeh. Know what you mean about the dangers of it going wrong.
But I'm assuming if you did this, you'd be silly not to get some sort of liabilty insurance?0 -

How appropriate pixie, i know that film word for word at the mo as its ds1's fav film at the moment!!!!!:rotfl:
I never get round to cleaning my house properly but did cleaning as a job when i was at college and loved it. something satisfying bout cleaning the muck and making it smell nice...................................:rolleyes:
Work wasnt that bad today, but have figured out why i am not liking it so much...... before i went on maternity leave i worked on a different floor where you are so much more involved in the care and work along with the carers whilst the floor im on now i dont do the care as i give out and feed them breakfast and very much work alone
def a social person.

Kettles on, brew anyone??!!
So i have a slight confession to make........ We have bought a new hoover off ebay for £85!!!!! It was well needed as my old one was on its last legs. Its a pull along dyson and one of the allergy range (to help ease ds1 and OH's asthma) and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! its like a henry with muscles!!!!! So my house is looking gleaming this morning as have actually managed to clean!!!!:D
OH is working away tonight so i have a date with the ironing, what a lucky lady i am!!!;):rotfl:But its a little extra in our pot for the debts and he has said there may be a few extra sundays coming up so at least there will still be some extra coming in to throw at the debts after all. Got a payment going out tomorrow for the hbos card and will pay mil tomorrow too, think thats most paid, going to see how we are doing at the end of the month as i really want to pay the quad off now, hate owing money but even more so when its a mate you need to pay!!!
Its wed and im off work so that can only mean lunch with my mummy!!!!! (FREE!!!:D)December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
