  • whoo hoo, the mobile phone bills came in under budget!!!!!! £7.48 transfered to hbos as per my plan to transfer amount under budgeted amount!!!!!

Takes me over £2.6k paid back, which would of been good had i not added £2k to the total. oh well, still got mil to pay this month and egg2 and hopefully the quad, (if not all of it then at least some)

need to start clearing some debts for a moral boost, just a shame most of mine are too big to clear quickly.

Not quite sure whats going on but after recieving emails saying the talking appliances advert people (;)) were putting up the direct debit to £84, () checked the bank balance and the have only taken out £50.84??????? which brings me just under budget by £30 or just under????? Will leave it in the bank for now incase they take a little more later in the month, but will be great if i can transfer that to the hbos card!!!!! (fingers crossed)

Have nearly got 2 of the cards to £1.5k, just the egg2 thats just under £3k but will concentrate on that cc last as it has slightly longer 0% than the others as was the last one i got out. The payments will start going out in october for the sofa's so at least that will soon start to come down................thats 0% too so think once the cc's have gone i will tackle the loan and let that just run its course as i cant overpay, can only pay the full outstanding balance and it will be gone in 3 years time:eek::eek: Hopefully ALL the debt will be gone by then!!!!! (thats my plan so we shall see)

Need to go into the bank tomorrow and talk to them bout the savings accounts i have. One of them has a rubbish interest rate that goes down the more you withdraw and the other is just pants.......see what they can do. Might change the xmas fund one to an isa as will only be withdrawing once a year. Have added them to my online banking so i can see whats in there and amend as needed. nice to see how much is saved for xmas already!!!!!!

Hi there I was lauhing to myself about your new hoover aint it funny how us women get excited about buying a new hoovers and other household goods!!! I can remember getting the same excitment as a teenager when I got to go clubbing (under age I might add !!! did'nt give me the same rush as when I was over 18 I might add:) ) or the latest clothes, shoes, boyfriend or sneaking a bottle of Woodpecker cider :) and trying to sneak back in the house without getting caught been drunk.......its strange how a new washer can have the same effect on me as my teenage years how sad I know....but even sadder when I get a all excited about pegging my washing out on a sunny day!!! Oh my god I can officially say I am an old saddo/geek as my kids would call me :( (I quite like been a saddo/geek :):):):) ) GOOD LUCK with your budgeting Rags you are impressive!!!
  • I too get really excited at the thought of pegging my washing out on a sunny day!!!! (just love the smell) so i too am a saddo (and only 27!!!) ha ha ha!!!!

just been looking at my figures and just realised that this months is wrong as not included spends on holiday!!!!! will have to tally up the amount we spent and deduct it. Love working out what everything will cost, just need to learn to keep it like that in reality. EDIT: this is wrong as have underestimated the tax credits recieved by £200 so that shoould even things out.

Im working tomorrow so shopping will be left to OH. We have still got the wipeboard in place and am happy to report that the shopping list is underway on one side as have been adding to it when something runs out. so just need to meal plan for next week and finish off the list ready for OH. He is way better at sticking to the shopping list than me (mainly coz he doesnt really do the cooking, the days im at work i have either left something or its a freezer job) so doesnt get pulled in by the offers. He is being really good on the no biscuits and cakes though so not worried he will go over budget with them like he used to.

Am much happier with my work/life balance at the mo, the money from the overtime was great and helped me get ahead with paying of the debts but the shifts were so draining.

Have swapped a day in 2 weeks with someone at work, but thinking i might still send the kiddies to the childminder and i will work from home. (i.e ebay!!) have loads of summer stuff that i was struggling to sell last time but think now its getting warmer it may just go. Really want rid of it now so not fussed if it doesnt make much, every penny will help pay off the cc. Just need to keep OH off ebay as he usually spends my hard earned (:rotfl:) paypal account. keep telling him to leave it as need to get to £50 before i can withdraw with no charges but..........................

well, the measuring for my new doors has been done so just waiting for them to make the doors then install!!!!!!!! I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok, bit the bullet and have transfered the £30 left from the gas and elec budget (as they only took out £50.84 this month) to the hbos cc. It is so nearly at the £1.5k mark, but think hitting that wont happen now till next month unless we come dramatically under budget in shopping the rest of the month............

  • Hey all (if anyone is out there?)

Well, not much to report, only got payments to mil and egg2 to come out and thats it for the month. Oooooh, can then do my tickers!!!!!! (little things and all that..............)

OH did the shopping yesterday and spent £39!!!! pretty good, i spent £23 at approved foods stocking up on things we use that were much cheaper so that should keep the shopping bill down. Going to nick pipsmum's idea of her stocking up shelves so have told OH we are sorting out the shed next weekend so i can start my own!!! (thank you pipsmum!!!)

been at work all weekend so really boring and nothing to write about, but least i didnt spend any money. Have now got 3 days off and only working 2 days this week so need to behave and not find things up town i think i need!!!!!

Have an appointment on tues to discuss my savings accounts, and was getting the lowest possible rate on both!!!! sounds about right for me!!

Need to step up on my tone my belly/lose weight challenge. Its really hot here at the moment so cant hide my muffin top under big jumpers anymore. Just need to get motivated, doing really well on the healthy eating just need to start exercising to tone up. Need to blow up my swiss ball and start actually doing it!!!!!!! (big kick needed please!)

  • My god, ds1 has turned into a teenager from hell........................at 4 years old!!!!!!!!!!! he is just giving me pure attitude at the moment, answering me back and doing what i have told him not to!!!!!! did this on holiday but it seemed to calm down last week when he went back to school but this week has been as bad as ever! he is really ready for school and am hoping that once he starts full time (in october:eek:)it will calm down a little.

still not much on the money front, still keeping up with the meal plan and shopping list and am hoping to get the overdraft back to where it was - am actually on track for this.............

keep trying to think of ways to find an extra £150 or so to get the hbos card to £1.5k!!!!! not getting very far though so that may have to wait till next month.

Got a letter through from the tax credits saying they have overpaid me by £540 so they are taking £50 off my total a month!!!! Right when my childcare will be going up due to the summer hols as well!!!!! bar stewards!!!!!

so, really need to get going with ebay and think of other ways of getting some extra to make overpayments. Will have a little extra in next months wage as will be taking a paperwork day at work which is extra hours. Would love to get to the point of paying off the hbos cc and using that £100 to go on top of some other payments!!! will see things come down a little quicker thats for sure!! thats a few months off yet though..........................

what is everyone else up to, seems to have gone a little queit lately, hope your all ok?????

going to be planting my carrot and onion seeds later, most of my other seeds are doing well apart from my tomatoes and peppers so fingers crossed they actually turn into the veg!!!

Does ds1 have a new cheeky friend he is copying? If my niece has been playing with particular children who show no respect to anyone, it takes a very firm hand to get her to revert to her more usual polite ways.

Good luck with the seeds. Seems to be good growing weather ... as long as nothing has been washed away in yesterday's monsoon-like rain that seemed to be in a few areas of the UK.
Debt at 13/5/09 £51, 970. Aim to be rid of this by 30/3/10
