Oh rags sorry to here about wages, can OH ask at work why he's not been paid yet, at least the mortgage has been paid.

Good luck with the Virgin card, i know what you mean about next account can't believe that they charge such hugh APR, can't wait to get rid of mine my aim is to have paid it off by march.

How long have you been off work and are you feeling a bit worried about going back aand leaving the little ones. I was lucky with my little ones as i'm a nursery assistant so they where always in the same building.

Good luck in yopur quest. For teething the anbesol liquid (from pharmacy) is 8 times stronger then Bonjela and having used it myself on an ulcer can tell you it works straight away !

  • thanks dawny, may have to give that a go!!!!

i have been off work since june as took 4 weeks hols before i started mat leave. ds1 was born 4 weeks early so had to start mat leave 4 weeks before my due date in case it happened again (it didnt, ds2 was 2 weeks late)
not so worried about leaving them as my childminder is like a member of the family she is that good, dont know what it is. i hated staying at home with ds1 (was only 23 and had no-one as oh worked away all week and everyone was at work all day) but am really enjoying it this time with ds1 and ds2,

think its more everyone has got used to me doing everything around the house and will prob still expect me to do so once im back to work. my oh never hears ds2 if he is up in the night so will still have that to deal with when i go back (although he doesnt feed through the night he still wakes approx 3 times looking for his dummy) and doing 12 hour shift when your knackered is hard work.

if there was a way of getting decent money and be a stay at home mum i think i would take that route.........................................

    Hi Rags

Sounds like you have had a tough day bless you x x
I am worried about going back to work and I dont have to contemplate it till at least May thanks to the full pay. Its only natural that it will stress you out a bit.

Good luck with the virgin card, I applied for a 0% with someone and didnt get it but then thanks to OH not having a job for most of the summer my credit rating is pretty pants. Would be so useful though, think of the money you might save.

  • right then, meal plan done for the week and shopping list done for tomorrow!!! my list only has about 10 things on so will be a cheap do at the shops!! just need to do my inventory of the freezers.

going to sort out ds2's room tomorrow as he will be moving in there shortly. there i shall find more stuff to add to my ebay pile!!! (must really get a move on with getting some of that listed)

will be using my new slicer for the first time tomorrow as have finally put the breadmaker on!!! need to do a few to keep in the freezer for when i go back to work and dont have time or the energy. need to get back into the swing of putting a loaf on first thing in the morning.
also my dad has asked for a loaf as we think his terrible indigestion and heartburn is caused by shop bought bread so gonna try hm (no chemicals so might help) my mum and dad would save a fortune if they didnt need to buy so much zantac!!!!

wonder how long i can keep up this organised lark??? still not found an organiser....................... any ideas??????

Does your dad drink coffee? It's the very worst thing for acid reflux...oh and tomato based dishes.
  • you have me thinking now on one of these breadmakers and they are on sale at lidl next mon for £25,Iv been reading the reviews on it and am wondering....we get through a loaf and a half a day so am wondering will it actually save me money....I only buy the value bread anyway at 45p each or 2 for a pound a morrisons......any thoughts Rags....that sounds fab about freezing it though....wouldnt have thought about that, have you done that before and is it still quite fresh....I would cook all mine at the wekend and freeze for the week....Im in a similar position as you even though my children are older but Im back to work now in the month of January.....aaarrrggghhh....its going to be life changing for me though...totally....Im scared that I will not be able to still do everything like keep the family going....still be mum and still be wife....one of my children has problems and even though hes the eldest I have to do more for him than our youngest....scary tmes ahead....Im going out of my comfort zone......
good luck with ds room tomorrow...I love sorting rooms out and cupboards...my family know cause Im such a nightmare to live with as I realy enjoy it...its like eating a chocolate bar for me....and the feeling I get after is such contentment and satification....... anyway Iv rammbled on so much and must go to bed...nite nite
    :hello:Time2start a new year diet for a new me:j
  • i said about the coffee but he believes as he drinks black coffee its not that as someone told him milk in coffee can do it! mens logic eh?! going to prove its not the bread but think it will kill him to stop drinking coffee!

well my fella tried the bread slicer i bought and said it didnt work very well as it just squashed the bread!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was in bed so will test it out later, if it doesnt it will be going back and a refund sought as the sellers said it would do bread!
paris, i wrap the loafs in clingfilm/large zipper freezer bag and pop them in the freezer, they are usually ok for up to a month (if they last that long) and are just as fresh when defrosted. i would go for the breadmaker, i have saved so much money by using mine as my fella eats it as though his life depends on it. I get the dried yeast for 60p, flour for 59p, butter for 20p and this will last up to 3-6 loafs depending on the type so works out mega cheaper. try and get one with a timer on though as you have to remove the bread from the maker within half an hour or it starts to go soggy. least then you can put in all the stuff before you go to bed and wake up to fresh bread! (nothing like the smell in the morning)

well have tackled ds2's room and got about 5 bin bags worth of stuff to ebay!!!!:D have been very ruthless and got rid of all my size 10 stuff (a tear was shed) and all the baby stuff no longer used!!! some money to be made me thinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
